Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Rated for PS5 and PC by ESRB

As a dedicated fan who’s lost countless hours to Aloy’s epic journey through the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon Zero Dawn, I’ve been eagerly awaiting any news about a remastered version. The ESRB rating for PS5 and PC has certainly piqued my interest!

There’s been chatter for years about a remaster of Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn, and it looks like we might finally get an official confirmation. Recently, the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) in the U.S. rated the game for both PS5 and PC.

Beyond the fact that it’s rated “T” for Teen, not much more is known. But whispers started in 2022 suggesting a remaster of the critically acclaimed 2017 open-world action RPG might be on the horizon. This supposed update would include enhanced textures and animations, better lighting, various graphics modes, accessibility improvements, and quality-of-life upgrades.

Subsequently, a leaked document spread, suggesting the title’s authenticity. Previously, there was a rumor claiming that Guerrilla wasn’t working on the remaster, but another team was reportedly handling it instead.

Time marches on, so keep a lookout for the upcoming formal announcement. In the interim, Guerrilla Games is hard at work creating LEGO Horizon Adventures alongside Studio Gobo. Set to debut on November 14th (according to PlayStation’s official site, before its removal), this family-friendly adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn will be available for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers.
