How Anna Delvey Is Competing on DWTS Amid ICE Restrictions

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for unique stories, I must admit that Anna Delvey‘s life journey is nothing short of extraordinary. From posing as a German heiress to scamming New York’s elite and now competing on Dancing With the Stars, she certainly knows how to keep us entertained.

Anna Delvey may have just invented a new way to compete on Dancing With the Stars.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m excited to share some intriguing news! The woman at the heart of the ‘Inventing Anna’ series, who was convicted for fraudulently claiming to be a German heiress and swindling thousands from New York’s high society to maintain her lavish lifestyle, has teamed up with professional dancer Ezra Sosa in season 33 of ABC’s dance competition. The network made this announcement on September 4, hinting that the “notorious ankle bracelet fashionista” will grace our screens during the premiere on September 17

Despite Anna having been under house arrest in her Manhattan apartment due to overstaying her visa, she is still eligible to compete in person during the upcoming filming of the new season in Los Angeles

In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, Anna shared that she’s been seeking approval from ICE to journey beyond her current state, however, she mentioned that there are still limitations on her travel otherwise. (Don’t miss Anna’s full interview tonight, Sept. 4 at 11 p.m., on TopMob News.)

However, it’s important to note that Anna didn’t make her debut in reality TV after her 2022 release from prison. In fact, just last month, she made a playful appearance in a promotional video for USA Network’s competitive series called “The Anonymous

She playfully suggested in the preview that she had some knowledge about deceit, while simultaneously displaying her court-mandated ankle bracelet at home. “Feel free to embellish your appearance or the facts, if you will. Rest assured, I would never mislead you.”

In another advertisement, the individual who was found guilty of fraud suggested to competitors that manipulating truths, often referred to as “psychological manipulation” or simply “gaslighting”, could be an effective strategy for success

“Not that I’ve ever done it,” she joked. “Is it emotionally manipulative? Of course!”

In 2017, Anna was initially detained for theft-related offenses. Following her conviction in 2019, she was subsequently sentenced to serve between four and twelve years in prison. This sentence encompassed the time she spent in custody prior to her trial

In 2021, the socialite was granted parole but later taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) due to potential deportation processes. She remained imprisoned until 2022, organizing an art show with her prison sketches during that time, before being placed under house arrest

In response to TopMob News in December 2022, I shared that my experience has been nothing short of remarkable and now, it feels as if a new, exciting phase is about to unfold – much like turning a fresh page in a book
