It was a dramatic twist ending that even Arie Luyendyk Jr. didn’t see coming. 

Actually, not the scenario you’re thinking of. Instead, it was when their 4-year-old daughter Senna made the former Bachelor reconsider his earlier decision to inform wife Lauren Burnham that they wouldn’t be having more children.

Without a doubt, his choice to undergo a vasectomy in 2022 might have been influenced significantly by a potentially risky mix of sleeplessness and the pressure of caring for three young children aged less than 3 years.

In an exclusive interview with TopMob News, Arie reminisced about his eldest child, Alessi, who was only 2 years old when they welcomed home her twin siblings Senna and brother Lux. At that age, it can be particularly demanding, as Arie explained, because Alessi was just beginning to communicate with them. This time, he admitted, brought a sense of guilt for him and his family, as much of their attention needed to be directed towards the twins.

However, as their offspring grew slightly independent and everyone began to sleep soundly throughout the night, Arie felt a sense of longing well up within him.

Arie shared that Lauren had said, “This is it,” suggesting she’s made a significant decision. Given how tough her pregnancy has been, it seems like she’s taken charge and decided on something, he implied.

Besides, he’d still like his kids to have the opportunity to steal him for a sec. 

He admitted that four seemed like a suitable number to him, adding that anything above that was quite unusual, similar to the composition of a basketball team.

This is because it’s so delightful for them to be growing up a bit more independently. If they choose to go back, perhaps for another visit to Maui, the place where Arie and his wife Lauren got married when she was pregnant, surrounded by 100 loved ones, Arie mentioned that it could be an opportunity for everyone to do things together as a family.

According to Arie, both Alessi and Senna are clearly thrilled about the upcoming event. Lux seems indifferent, but Senna often questions if the baby can hear them.

It seems like they’re quite excited about the prospect of caring for an infant, possibly implying that they might compete for this opportunity.

And maybe ease a smidge of the burden on Mom and Dad.

Arie anticipates that their last child, being four years younger, will turn out wonderfully. He believes the twins and Alessi might act as helpful siblings instead.
