If the Netflix film about a drug lord’s transformation, which explores themes of gender transition, triumphs in all categories for which it is nominated, it will surpass the seven-award record held by “La La Land” for the most Golden Globe awards won by a single movie.

Moreover, Hiroyuki Sanada from “Shogun” has a strong chance of becoming the very first Japanese actor to secure the Best Actor award in a Drama Series. Simultaneously, Tadanobu Asano is also striving for the same remarkable feat in the Best Supporting Actor category within this series.
