Julie Chrisley has left prison a changed woman.
A day following their release after receiving presidential pardons from Donald Trump, Todd Chrisley’s wife showcased a fresh change, unveiling on Fox News Digital that she had opted for brunette hair instead of her usual blonde style – a makeover that her son Chase Chrisley indicated is permanent.
In a chat with Entertainment Tonight on the 29th of May, the 28-year-old said, “My hair has become darker,” but her mother isn’t keen on returning it to platinum blonde. She said, “Mama, we need to go back to platinum blonde,” to which her mom replied, “I’m not doing that.
Reflecting on my deep admiration for my mom, whose silvery hair is a testament to her time spent away, I cannot help but say, “My mother is an ethereal being, and she remains stunningly beautiful.
Julie, who is a mother to Savannah, 27, Grayson, 19, and has custody of Chloe, 11, along with Todd, might have undergone a significant change in appearance. However, Chase pointed out that Julie isn’t the only one among her parents who emerged from prison with a fresh look.
“My dad is jacked,” he continued. “He hit the gym hard.”
Apart from showcasing their updated looks to one another, Chase clarified that Todd and Julie, who were imprisoned for tax evasion and wire fraud until 2032 (Todd) and 2028 (Julie), respectively, also experienced a heartfelt reunion after being apart for more than two years, during which they expressed deep emotions.
Apart from her brother Chase Chrisley, aged 28, and her half-brother Kyle Chrisley, at 33, also expressed joy, as Savannah did upon hearing about her parents’ upcoming return home.
Over the last two and a half years, I’ve spared no effort in trying to secure my parents’ release and reunite our family,” she expressed in a statement to TopMob News. “Today’s news is the answer to many prayers, and I am deeply thankful to President Trump for recognizing the truth and rectifying the situation that allowed us to be together again.
As an ardent supporter, I promise to leverage our fortune’s blessings to champion the cause of others. Today, we celebrate a triumph for our family, but let it be known that the battle against unjust convictions and systemic inequalities within our penal system is far from over. I vow to keep using my voice and influence to amplify those who lack one.

He remarked that they both started crying uncontrollably,” he stated. “His father embraced his mother tightly and it seems as though he hasn’t released her since then. It appears he may never.
Chase expressed, “We were embracing each other and shedding tears. It was an incredibly touching scene, undeniably the answer to our prayers. Words fail me to express the immense joy I experienced.
How have Todd and Julie been since they were freed? Their daughter, Savannah, gave an optimistic update.
She shared, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on May 29th, that everyone is fantastic and doing well. They are delighted to be back home.
She subsequently expressed gratitude towards Alice Marie Johnson, a prominent figure in criminal justice reform, who spoke about their situation to President Trump. She found both of them truly remarkable.
Don’t miss out on binge-watching “Chrisley Knows Best” this coming Sunday, June 1st, on TopMob from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this marathon, immerse yourself in the fascinating story of the Chrisley family. For additional insights, continue reading for a closer examination of their family history.
Todd Chrisley hails as the head of the Chrisley clan. He was born in Georgia in April 1969 and spent his childhood in South Carolina. His first marriage to Teresa Terry resulted in the birth of daughter Lindsie in 1989 and son Kyle in 1991 before their separation a few years later. Todd then wed Julie Chrisley (born in South Carolina, January 1973) in 1996.
Together, they expanded their family with the arrival of children Chase, Savannah, Grayson and the adoption of Kyle’s daughter Chloe. The couple’s life journey, including their blended family dynamics, affluent lifestyle in Atlanta and later Nashville, were chronicled on the reality TV show Chrisley Knows Best.
As Todd shared during the series premiere, he earned “95 percent” of their income through his real estate business before venturing into reality television. Meanwhile, Julie was employed at a bank when she started dating Todd.
The show ran from 2014 to 2023 and spawned spin-offs like Growing Up Chrisley and What’s Cooking With Julie?, as well as other media projects, such as family members’ podcasts.
In 2022, Todd and Julie were found guilty of fraud and tax offenses, with sentencing of 12 years for Todd (served in Florida) and seven years for Julie (in Kentucky). However, they maintained their innocence.
Finally, in May 2025, President Donald Trump granted them a pardon, leading to their release from prison.
Lindsie, born in September 1989, is the eldest daughter of Todd, having been married to Teresa. She studied at Georgia State University and there she met her former husband, Will Campbell. They got married in 2012, graduated, and welcomed their son, Jackson, that same year. Two years later, the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best” was launched.
Lindsie appeared on the series for five seasons, during which viewers witnessed the strained relationship between Todd and Will. In 2016, Lindsie and Will filed for divorce, and she left the show in 2017. Over the years that followed, there was a public rift between her and her family.
However, it wasn’t until 2022 that Lindsie, Todd, Julie, and Savannah appeared together on crossover episodes of their podcasts. Todd mentioned in “Chrisley Confessions” that he felt they needed this estrangement. Yet, their reunion was brief as Lindsie stated in March 2025 on her podcast “The Southern Tea” that she hasn’t seen her father for some time. In April 2025, she confirmed that she is also estranged from her siblings.
Lindsie explained on Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s podcast, “Cate & Ty Break It Down”, in April 2025 that despite living similar lives, they don’t necessarily agree or align with each other. She added that it’s no hate or ill will, but they simply don’t serve each other in their lives.
After Julie and Todd were pardoned in May 2025, Lindsie expressed on Instagram Stories that “with God all things are possible.
Kyle, born in August 1991, serves as Todd’s firstborn son from his previous marriage with Teresa. In November 2012, he became a father to Chloe, who was born to his former partner Angela Johnson. However, in 2016, Chloe was adopted by Todd and his wife Julie.
Kyle made an appearance only on the first season of Chrisley Knows Best (with a brief reappearance in 2021), but his past legal troubles, strained family relations (which included periods of estrangement followed by reconciliations), and public struggles with addiction and mental health issues have been frequently discussed in media outlets. He publicly announced his sobriety in a Facebook post from 2019.
In 2021, Kyle tied the knot with Ashley Nelson and gained step-parental roles for her children Haiden and Mackenzie.
Regarding his relationship with Todd and Julie, he has expressed optimism about reconnecting with them following their release from prison. In an interview with TopMob News in May 2025, he stated, “I believe they’re eager to return home and simply be with family, and I remain hopeful that another reconciliation could occur.
As the firstborn child of Todd and Julie, I graced their lives in June 1996. Besides sharing my journey on Chrisley Knows Best with my beloved parents and siblings, I shared the limelight with my sister Savannah on Growing Up Chrisley from 2019 to 2022.
Previously, I was engaged to Emmy Medders, but our relationship had its ups and downs before we parted ways in 2023. Subsequently, I found myself smitten with Jodi Laine Fournerat, and our bond is often showcased on my Instagram, along with heartwarming moments with grandma Nanny Faye Chrisley.
When my parents faced imprisonment, my siblings and I drew even closer. In an interview with Extra in 2023, I shared, “We’ve definitely grown a lot closer. When you face something like this, people either drift apart or stick together – we chose the latter. We’re holding strong.”
In January 2025, I found myself entangled in a legal matter when I was arrested in Atlanta for an alleged simple battery charge. Allegedly, I had become “too intoxicated” and slapped a bar manager after being asked to leave, according to TopMob News records. However, my lawyers clarified that the situation was exaggerated to the media. They assured People magazine that “no assault occurred.”
Lastly, entrepreneurship is in my blood, as I’ve ventured into the world of candles and roofing, following in the footsteps of my family.
In August 1997, Todd and Julie became parents to their daughter Savannah. At a young age, she started participating in beauty pageants, eventually becoming Miss Tennessee Teen USA in 2016. Her journey didn’t stop there; she also appeared on various reality and competition shows like ‘Chrisley Knows Best’, ‘Growing Up Chrisley’, ‘The Masked Singer’, and ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’. Apart from her television appearances, Savannah is a real estate agent in Tennessee, the founder of Good Girl RX, and host of the podcast ‘Unlocked’.
In her personal life, she got engaged to hockey player Nic Kerdiles in 2019 but they split up the following year. Tragically, he passed away after a motorcycle accident in 2023. Later, she dated Robert Shiver, but they parted ways in April 2025. During the time when her parents, Todd and Julie, were imprisoned, Savannah took care of her siblings Grayson and Chloe, and advocated for their release.
At the 2024 Republican National Convention, she emotionally shared that 72600019 and 72601019 are the identification numbers of her parents in federal prison. These numbers represent a significant part of her heart.
After former President Trump pardoned Todd and Julie and they were released from prison, Savannah shared videos of their homecoming with the caption “Reunited and it feels so good.
Grayson, their youngest child, is Todd and Julie’s son. He was born in May 2006 and gained fame when the show “Chrisley Knows Best” debuted eight years later. Currently, he studies at the University of Alabama where he often gets recognized. In an episode of Savannah’s podcast “Unlocked,” he shared, “It’s been crazy; it’s more than it’s ever happened here.”
Following Julie and Todd’s incarceration, custody of Grayson and his sister Chloe was granted to Savannah. On Instagram in July 2023, she wrote, “I’m not their mom or dad; I’m their sister. I get to love and guide them through life.” She further added, “Being a bonus parent is hard… but it’s the most rewarding job I will ever have.”
Savannah’s relationship with Grayson has become stronger over time. For his 18th birthday in May 2024, she wrote on Instagram, “Many people think I saved him, but little do they know… YOU saved ME.
Todd and Julie became Chloe’s grandparents when his son Kyle had a child with Angela Johnson in November 2012, which they later adopted four years later. Julie expressed her joy on Instagram in February 2018, saying, “This child brings so much happiness to our family. What did we do without you?”
Fans have followed Todd and Julie raising Chloe (or CoCo) on the TV show Chrisley Knows Best, but when they went to prison, Savannah took over as her guardian. For Chloe’s 11th birthday in November 2023, Savannah wrote on Instagram, “Watching her grow has been the biggest blessing of my life… she has QUITE the personality! I wish I had her humor. I wish I had her carefree spirit. I wish I had her heart. She is everything that I hope to be one day! There is not a day goes by where she doesn’t teach me something new. Because of her… we are all better people! I love you sweet girl! KEEP SHINING! NEVER GIVE UP! And ALWAYS KNOW… I AM HERE for you.”
After Trump announced a pardon for Todd and Julie, Savannah shared Chloe’s reaction on News Nation in May 2025. “Chloe seems to still be in shock, and she doesn’t want to get her hopes up because she feels like something bad’s going to happen,” she said. “But I’m excited to be going to get my dad and bringing him home to her.
Faye Chrisley, affectionately known as “Nanny”, is Todd’s mother. In a heartfelt Instagram post for Mother’s Day in 2021, Todd expressed his deep love and gratitude towards her, saying she fills his heart with love, hope, faith, and confidence.
Born in September 1944, Nanny spent her childhood in South Carolina. She married army veteran Gene Chrisley and together they had three sons: Todd, Randy, and Derrick. Tragically, Derrick passed away as a baby, and Gene followed him in 2012.
On the popular show Chrisley Knows Best, Nanny endeared herself to viewers with her wit, fun times with her sister Frances (who passed away in 2022), dating escapades, and advice. Whether she was enjoying a game at the casino, sipping wine, or spending time with family, she demonstrated that she knows how to have a good time.
However, Nanny has faced challenges as well. In 2021, she was diagnosed with bladder cancer, but by 2023, she shared that she had successfully overcome her health battle. On an episode of Lindsie’s podcast The Southern Tea, she stated, “I’m in remission, thank God. I’ve been out moving around, doing the best I can.”
Nanny has always faced life’s adversities with resilience, as she once said on Savannah’s podcast Unlocked, “The world doesn’t always give you a good deck of cards to play with, so you play with them the best you can. You get up, brush yourself off and keep going.”
