Players of Monster Hunter Wilds have taken up the task of crafting Palicoes that resemble their deceased pets, finding comfort in the fact they are able to see them once more.
In Monster Hunter Worlds, one of the first things you’ll do is build your character and Palico. With an array of customization choices at your disposal, you can let your imagination run wild and shape them according to your unique vision.
In a similar fashion, gifted players have managed to design characters reminiscent of Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher and Kratos from God of War that mirror their video game counterparts in every detail. Similarly, the adorable Palicoes can also be made to resemble Pokemon by these skillful players.
Regarding Palicoes, some players are utilizing the character customization option to create in-game versions of their deceased pets, allowing these beloved companions to join them on their adventure within the game.

After the launch of the game, certain players have been posting pictures of their customized Palicoes that resemble their late cherished pets.
Though Monster Hunter World is just a video game, it offers comfort to many as they find joy in the fact that their virtual characters can acknowledge them again and accompany them.
My cat passed away a day before Wilds came out, but thanks to Monster Hunter we have many more adventures to see 🥹

In the gaming world this past week, I’ve found myself struggling with a heavy heart. You see, my beloved feline companion of 15 years crossed the Rainbow Bridge just one day before Wilds was released. This loss has made for an incredibly tough week. But amidst the sorrow, there’s a glimmer of hope – the game allows me to imagine that she’s right there beside me, joining in the fight.
I’m incredibly heartbroken over losing her, yet having her spirit with me during this journey makes it feel like she hasn’t truly left. Though she may be absent from the world we know, her memory remains an everlasting companion, fighting by my side. This brings me immense comfort, and I am eternally grateful for this experience that Monster Hunter has provided.

A few years back, I sadly lost my cherished companion, but decided to assign my Palico’s slot in her memory. The fact that they now talk like humans and the enthusiasm she shows is strangely soothing. Since I anthropomorphize my pets, I feel a strong bond with this digital creature, even though it’s not my departed cat.
