How Newly-Engaged Zendaya and Tom Holland Spun the Perfect Love Story

With great romance, comes great love stories.

It’s been reported that Spider-Man costars Zendaya and Tom Holland, rumored to be engaged, have confirmed their plans to marry according to TMZ, who received the news from multiple sources close to the couple. The announcement follows Zendaya wearing a large diamond ring on her finger at the 2025 Golden Globes held on January 5.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share the exciting news about Zendaya and Tom Holland’s engagement! Though their official relationship status was revealed in 2021, their bond can be traced back to the audition phase for the Spider-Man franchise, which launched its first film in 2017. Even before that, they had a special connection that blossomed into something beautiful.

“That’s how we met,” Zendaya, 28, told Vanity Fair last year. “Literally, at a chemistry read.”

Their bond has been blissful since then. Although they’ve strived to maintain a private aspect of their relationship, they’ve occasionally given fans glimpses into their love story. For example, in 2021, Tom publicly announced their relationship as a tribute for Zendaya’s 25th birthday.

Back then, I penned down on Insta, “My dear MJ,” referring to none other than the radiant Zendaya. Accompanied by a snap of us, all snuggled up in our costumes. When you’re done with your busy schedule, give me a buzz, xoxo.

Later, Zendaya commented along with a red heart emoji, “Calling now.”

As they had initially bonded through acting, collaborating on projects has become effortlessly familiar for this duo, as stated by the former Disney star.

She remarked to Vanity Fair, “The individual I’m performing alongside makes me feel even more secure.” She also expressed her enjoyment of collaborating with him.

For Tom, bringing work home has never been more exciting.

In a December episode of the podcast, The Dish, the 28-year-old expressed joyfully, “It’s a real blessing,” she said. “It’s that amazing moment when you’re working on set and a director gives you advice that you might not completely agree with, or she doesn’t seem to prefer, and it’s just that knowing look between you both, like, ‘I can’t wait to discuss that further later.’

Why didn’t Tom join the Dune actress on the red carpet at the 82nd Annual Golden Globes for her ring reveal? Previously, he has stated that he tends to decline shared appearances at events with Zendaya.

In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Tom stated, “I won’t be attending because it’s not my time. It’s her time to shine, and if we were to go together, the focus would be on us rather than just her.

Since Tom has moved up from being a casual acquaintance to a future spouse, let’s revisit their journey. You might find yourself entangled in the beautiful tale of their love…

Tom Holland and Zendaya had a good chuckle prior to the premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming at the Marvel panel gathering in San Diego Comic-Con International 2016, held in San Diego, California.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming stars spoke onstage at the award show in Los Angeles.

Tom and Zendaya attended a photo call for Spider-Man: Homecoming in Madrid.

The pair made an appearance at the post-premiere party for Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was held in Hollywood, California.

Months after their romance was confirmed, Tom gushed over his onscreen and offscreen girlfriend.

In his September 1st post, he wished Zendaya (his MJ) a joyful birthday, using her character’s name. He ended the message with, “Give me a call once you wake up, kisses xxx.

The two attended a photo call for Spider-Man: No Way Home at The Old Sessions House in London.

During a gathering at SiriusXM Radio’s Town Hall, both Tom and Zendaya took part in discussions with the Spider-Man: No Way Home cast, right here in New York City.

At the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the actress donned a one-of-a-kind Valentino dress, while Tom was dressed in a sharp Prada suit. They both struck poses for photographers.

After their third Spider-Man film hit theaters, Zendaya heaped praise over her leading man.

Look at my Spiderman, I’m so proud! Some things remain constant, and that’s a good thing, just like Tom Holland in 2013.” (This maintains the sentiment while using more contemporary language.)

The pair donned their best attire, looking to make an impression, while they celebrated a late Valentine’s Day evening in New York City on February 16th.

Zendaya shared this sweet shot of her boyfriend enjoying the water in honor of his birthday.

On his 27th birthday, Tom revealed this stunning photo, playfully commenting on Instagram, “A gift for both of us! I figured I’d share what might be the most captivating picture ever snapped of me.” Zendaya seemed to agree, expressing her appreciation with a heart-eyed emoji.

As I geared up for the premiere of my movie “Challengers,” I drew strength from within, channeling the spirit of Tashi Duncan during a thrilling tennis session with Tom and my trusted assistant Darnell Appling at the Men’s Final of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California.

The two enjoyed a night out in London.

After the premiere of Tom’s play “Romeo and Juliet” in London, it was noticed that Zendaya was by his side, with the two of them being spotted holding hands after the performance.

At the launch of Tom’s new non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, Zendaya stood alongside him in a harmonious burgundy ensemble.

During their trip to Newbury, Massachusetts, where Zendaya was shooting her film titled “The Drama“, the pair briefly stepped out to grab a beer at a local place called Bero.

Tom posted on his Instagram story, “Off to try my first Bero in an actual bar! My lovely partner is with me and I’ll keep you updated on the experience.
