How Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Honored Late Son Garrison on Christmas

As a longtime observer of the glamorous lives of Hollywood’s elite, I must say that this collection of images showcases the lavish holiday celebrations of some truly extraordinary individuals. From the dazzling smiles of the Hilton sisters to the striking poses of the Real Housewives cast, it’s clear that these people know how to throw a party fit for royalty!

Janelle Brown is thankful for the time she got with Garrison Brown

Nine months following her son’s demise, the star of “Sister Wives” marked her first Christmas without him by posting a heartfelt message. On Christmas Eve 2023, she shared a family photo along with the caption, “I miss you so much my sweetheart.” She expressed her deep appreciation for having been together as a family last year and capturing those precious moments.

For the 55-year-old, she’s learning to balance celebrating the holidays with remembering her son. On Thanksgiving, Janelle and her family gathered in North Carolina to celebrate Garrison’s life.

She posted on Instagram December 1st, “First major holiday without you, my love.” She reminisced about your goofy humor and shared numerous stories in your honor. We feasted, played games, and cherished each other’s company. As everyone heads back home today, normal life will resume tomorrow. Yet, I can still feel your presence nearby.

On the 5th of March, Garrison was discovered deceased at a residence in Arizona. Subsequent examination revealed that his death was due to suicide at the age of 25.

Janelle and Kody expressed on their Instagram accounts that he was a source of joy for everyone who knew him. His absence has left an enormous void in our lives, one so vast that it leaves us momentarily speechless.

Following the sad announcement, Madison, his sister, encouraged her social media audience to express themselves more openly regarding their mental wellbeing.

She expressed her viewpoint that we don’t discuss it enough or take enough action to raise awareness in a March Instagram video. She clarified that it wasn’t bullying or lack of love that Garrison experienced, but rather mental health issues. She intends to keep discussing mental health and self-care until she runs out of breath.

She also included a note on the dangers of the Internet.

Social media isn’t a true representation of life – it mostly showcases the best moments. This is a topic Garrison and I often discussed. I’ve noticed my other siblings and mom have also mentioned this concern. They felt that Garrison sometimes felt inadequate because he was comparing himself to what he saw on social media, and I believe it’s important to remember that it’s not an accurate portrayal of reality.

To commemorate the six-month anniversary of his demise, Madison penned down her reflections on how Garrison’s death had brought her in contact with others who had endured comparable heartbreaking losses. In her words, she expressed:

And she emphasized she’s still learning to cope with her grief.

She went on saying, “I deeply mourn him, and I find it hard to express my feelings about this tragic event.” She explained, “His sudden passing left us all stunned.” It made her question, “If we were more open in discussing mental health matters, could things have been different?” To those who have experienced a similar loss, she expressed her empathy. “You are not alone in your suffering, and it’s alright if you don’t have all the answers,” she added.
