Take a right and then immediately left to avoid the Rat King as they burst through a wall
Go straight and hop over another hospital bed, then immediately turn left
Run to the door with the fireaxe jammed between the doorhandles and take the axe
Rapidly press the button prompt to swing the axe at the rat king

This takes us into the initial stage of the boss fight, and the secret is to stay on the move. Avoid standing still for extended periods.

Maintain a safe space around the Rat King and unleash as much ammunition at him as possible. Additionally, any projectile weapons you have on hand would be useful in this situation.

It might require several tries initially, but once you familiarize yourself with the arrangement of the space, everything should become clearer.

If the Rat King gets close, slip through the nearest gap and run away to make some more room.

Keep on running and firing until the Rat King divides into two distinct entities. Now, you’ve advanced to the next stage.

Your main goal in this second phase is to keep damaging the bigger part of the Rat King.

Continue maintaining a safe space between yourself and him, and improvise by utilizing nearby objects to create additional ammunition whenever necessary. Don’t forget to monitor your health bar regularly as well!

It’s advisable to keep a safe distance from the smaller one whenever possible. Fortunately, it doesn’t possess the ability for a single lethal strike, so you can handle a few blows if needed. Maintaining distance from the large one should be your top priority instead!

Ultimately, the Rat King meets his demise, allowing you an exit via a ventilation duct situated above a door obstructed with crates.

Your mission now is to eliminate this adversary. Be prepared as he’ll retaliate by hurling corrosive substances at you — not a fun situation!

Once more, stay a safe distance away, ensure you have enough ammunition and keep an eye on your vitality, then continually assault him with attacks until he is defeated.

After the demise of the Rat King’s duplicate, this interaction concludes at last, allowing Abby to return to her primary storyline once more. What an eventful day!
