How to Close The Kvatch Oblivion Gate In Oblivion Remastered

In my adventure through the captivating world of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered,” one of the very first gates of Oblivion I encountered was nestled within the walls of Kvatch. Closing it is a crucial part of my journey to restore peace and balance in this realm.

If you’re unsure about how to handle this particular issue, you’ll be tasked with locating the Sigil Stone hidden within the realm of Oblivion. While that may sound straightforward, pinpointing its location can prove challenging unless you have a clear idea of where to search.

Luckily, we’re here to guide you! Continue reading, and I’ll reveal the precise location for the Sigil Stone.

How to Close The Kvatch Oblivion Gate | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

Once you step into the Portal to Oblivion in Kvatch, walk towards your left and head westward, sticking to the border of the location.

After reaching an open space uphill, proceed eastward straight ahead. To locate the entrance of the large tower before you, move towards its southern side.

Here’s another way of expressing it:

You have the option to travel south if you prefer. Should you choose this route, you’ll find yourself at the location where you can unlock the War Gate by the entrance. Yet, this step isn’t essential for sealing the portal.

Once you’re inside the tower, take any of the doors leading to the Rending Halls.

To proceed, simply follow each onramp you encounter from now on. Your objective is to ascend to the highest level of the structure, a place called “The Central Banquet”, where you’ll eventually reach your destination.

As you ascend to the highest point in the tower, keep your eyes peeled for a western doorway that’s your ticket back to the Plane of Oblivion. This will be the lone, unsecured door among them, so seize the opportunity and proceed through it.

Simply step forward towards the other tower and enter it, as this door returns you to the outdoors and leads directly to it via a connecting bridge.

Breaking Into the Sigil Keep

After you’ve walked across the bridge, entered the tower, and ascended the ramp, you’ll find yourself in a circular chamber. Here, there’s a single Dremora Sigil Keeper and a caged captive. Defeat the Dremora Sigil Keeper and search their body to retrieve the Sigil Keep Key.

Feel free to engage with the person in that cell if you’d like, but keep in mind that he may not provide any information of significance to your current needs.

With the Sigil Keep Key on hand, make your way out of the tower and cross the bridge towards the main tower. Next, approach the northern door; this is the one marked as locked and needing a key. Use the Sigil Keep Key you’ve obtained to unlock it.

Once you pass through the door, keep ascending further up. At the peak of “The Blood Feast”, you’ll encounter the Runed Portal depicted earlier. Use this portal as a teleportation point to reach another part of “The Blood Feast”.

Sigillum Sanguis and the Sigil Stone

Immediately after you’ve teleported, head upstairs and you’ll find the entrance to the Sigillum Sanguis zone. At the moment, it’s closed, but don’t worry! The Sigil Keep Key can unlock it, so simply proceed straight through.

Prepare yourself, as you step into the Sigillum Sanguis, there might be a self-healing fountain spouting blood ahead. Feel free to interact with it should you require healing.

When it’s convenient for you, proceed to the central circular chamber, then ascend the spiked staircase until you reach the highest level. Keep in mind that there will be numerous adversaries en route, so tread cautiously! Feel free to confront the enemies or choose to bypass them as your strategy dictates.

When you reach the summit, make your way towards the big sphere perched on the altar up there. That’s the Sigil Stone; go ahead and interact with it to lift it. Soon, a radiant glow will expand around you. If any foes remain nearby, simply steer clear of them for a short while. In no time, you’ll be whisked back to Cyrodiil following a quick transition!

In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, my job is to seal the Gate of Oblivion in Kvatch. Keep in mind that this journey won’t be easy as you’ll encounter numerous enemies along the way, so prepare yourself! If you want an edge, I’d strongly recommend mastering the art of Enchanting.
