As an old-timer Stalker, who’s seen more than his fair share of Chernobyl Exclusion Zone’s trials and tribulations, I must say, the Guardian Program in the Forge of Progress mission is quite the challenge. It’s not for the faint-hearted or the trigger-happy.
As I delve deeper into the captivating world of STALKER 2, I find myself embarking on the “Forge of Progress” main mission. A crucial part of this journey involves navigating the intricate Guardian Program housed within the SIRCAA facility. This program is essentially a collection of trial rooms, each one offering unique challenges tailored to my skills as a player. From the relatively simple to the downright tough, these trials are designed to test my mettle. Fortunately, I have all the time in the world to complete them, working at my own pace. Yet, there’s an incentive for those who persevere – rewards await me once I’ve conquered the program.
How to Complete the Guardian Program in the Forge of Progress
As a gamer delving into the captivating world of STALKER 2, I found myself faced with the challenge of completing the Guardian Program to access the enigmatic Spatial Anomaly within the Forge of Progress main mission. This program is divided into four trials, each one designed to test my skills in traversal, intelligence, combat, and elemental adaptability. Here’s a breakdown of each trial and how I successfully navigated through them to advance the mission:
Completing Trial 1 of the Guardian Program
In this initial challenge, your ability to navigate through the space will be put to the test. Your objective is to move across the room while taking in the least possible harm from any irregularities that may arise along the way. Here’s a breakdown of how you can achieve success.
- Climb up the steps in front of you as soon as you enter the first trial room.
- Jump to the platform ahead through the glass shards anomaly.
- From here, players can either jump from platform to platform and avoid damage from the fire anomaly below, or equip an artifact detector and grab an artifact while receiving damage in exchange.
- Either way, reaching the end of the room, players will exit the first trial and proceed to the second.
Completing Trial 2 of the Guardian Program
In the second attempt, you’ll encounter a straightforward task, essentially an IQ puzzle that involves finding the correct button sequence on the control panel. Just follow the button pattern depicted in the given image above. This sequence should help you proceed.

By pressing the buttons in the correct order, you can illuminate all the switches on the control panel, enabling you to move forward to the next test.
Completing Trial 3 of the Guardian Program
In the upcoming third challenge, your battle prowess will be pushed to its limits as you face off against a Bloodsucker. Overcoming this creature is essential for moving forward to the final test. Known for their resilience and agility, Bloodsuckers can be evaded with ease. Simply dodge their attacks and capitalize on their recovery time to attack back. The exit door for the third trial is located at the end of the room, positioned towards the right side near a tractor.
Completing Trial 4 of the Guardian Program
The fourth trial might be a bit challenging depending on the level of your equipment, and its resistance against chemical damage. In this room, you’ll constantly receive damage and will need to turn three valves to progress forward.
- As soon as you enter the fourth trial, look towards the right, and you’ll see the first valve to turn.
- Keep going right, and you’ll spot the second valve right next to the first one.
- For the third valve, you’ll need to head back towards the left side of the room and climb a platform. After turning the third valve, quickly exit the room to avoid dying from chemical/acidic damage.
Rewards for Completing the Guardian Program
Once you finish trial 4 within the Guardian program, you’ll step into a room filled with lockers. The rewards, neatly arranged along the walls, consist of a specially enhanced M860 Cracker Shotgun, a Fora-221 Assault Rifle, and a SEVA high PSI protection suit. Now, you are free to traverse this space and eventually reach the Spatial Anomaly to advance deeper into the “Forge of Progress” primary mission in STALKER 2.
