As a seasoned survivor of Silent Hill’s haunting landscapes and twisted nightmares, I can confidently say that the remake of Silent Hill 2 has brought back memories that both chill and thrill me to my core. The meticulous attention to detail in recreating every fog-drenched alleyway and crumbling building of this dreadful town is nothing short of breathtaking.

The Silent Hill 2 remake has done a fantastic job of bringing our 2001 nightmares back to life with modern day graphics. Each road, ally and building of the misty nightmare town has been remade with stunning detail.

But to make that trophy hunt even scarier, just as much passion has gone into remaking the enemies.

In a more relaxed and conversational manner, you could say: Just like the first time we saw him over two decades back, Pyramid Head still manages to give us the chills, and there’s another boss character we’d rather avoid if possible.

How to defeat Abstract Daddy in Silent Hill 2 remake

Immediately following your encounter with Angela within the Labyrinth, a new phase (or battle) commences, initiated by a brief interlude or cinematic scene, featuring the boss known as Abstract Daddy.

There are three phases to this fight, and for all of them, we recommend keeping a safe distance from Abstract Daddy.

He often rushes towards you (and in such instances, it’s advisable to evade him and maintain the space between you both), and if he manages to close the gap, he might try to seize you (which is something you should aim to avoid).

Absolutely, approaching with a shotgun will cause greater harm, but it’s a risky move. It’s wiser to maintain some distance, take a few shots, and then retreat swiftly. Just ensure that your aim is on target, hitting his body instead of the picture frame.

During the transition periods, Abstract Daddy will no longer be present, and you’ll need to accompany Angela as she navigates the hallways of the Labyrinth.

You’ll find a TV each time, which you’ll need to destroy to get the boss to spawn again.
