If Rompopolo is angry, it will create even more gas explosions, and during this time, you should keep your distance, as approaching the creature will be almost impossible.
  2. Jumping attacks are key for this fight.
    1. Not all weapons can perform jumping attacks, but if the one you’re using can spam them, go ahead. The easiest way to defeat Rompopolo and avoid its explosions is by mounting it and hitting its tail. It won’t move its tail around so much, so you’ll have the chance to get many hits in and finish with a draw attack.
  3. Bring as many antidotes as possible.
    1. It might go without saying, but with all the poison around, bring all the antidotes you can. If possible, craft a few herbal medicines, too.

As a gamer, if I’ve dealt enough damage to the monster’s tail, I can aim for its head. However, be cautious about its melee combo – it’ll unleash a series of four to five attacks with its claws, dealing significant damage each time. To survive, either block or dodge these attacks and then make your move, landing a few hits before it has a chance to counterattack again.
