Given the influx of newcomers, including yourself, it’s no wonder that many people find the game mechanics perplexing. In this tutorial, I will demonstrate how to deconstruct or break down your equipment on both PC and console versions!
How to Dissolve or Dismantle Equipment
Without delay, let’s dive right in. Initially, could you please display your items and pick out any equipment parts you’d like to either eliminate or disintegrate. Once you’ve made your selection, simply click on the preferred choice from the options listed on the right side.
The dissolve icon is shaped like a flask, while the destroy button is, naturally, a trash can. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that dissolving will cost some Sollant depending on the rarity of the item.
Regardless of which option you choose, you will have a confirmation window, so don’t worry about accidentally breaking anything! Just keep your hands away from the Y key to avoid unintentional confirmations.
It is a little more nuanced than that, though. For example, a rare ring will only cost 2,000 Sollant to dissolve and can potentially give you up to 1x precious magic powder. On the flip side, a crossbow of the same rarity would cost double, but also have twice the potential rewards.
For Console or Controller Players
If you’re using the console or prefer playing the PC version with a controller, you might find things a bit trickier since those options don’t always appear when selecting an item. Instead, you’ll need to navigate to the options located at the bottom of the inventory menu.
To start, let’s open the inventory with our controller. This time, press the right analog stick instead of choosing an item. Once you do that, you’ll notice that both ‘destroy’ and ‘dissolve’ buttons are available at the bottom of your screen within the inventory, along with other options.
As a gamer, when you choose an option, it’s time for you to pick each thing you want to annihilate or disintegrate. To simplify the process, remember that you can use the right or left bumper buttons to focus on specific item categories (like equipment) and only display those items on your screen.
After selecting all the items for dissolving or taking apart, simply press and hold ‘A’ (or alternatively ‘X’, and in case of a Nintendo-style controller, it could be ‘B’) to initiate the process.
REMARK: This technique is applicable not just for gaming on a console, but also on a computer. That’s because the necessary buttons are located at the bottom of the inventory menu, making them accessible whether you’re using a controller or a mouse and keyboard.
Mass Dissolve Option
For those using a PC, here’s a tip: Since I couldn’t manage it with a controller, this method allows you to dissolve a large number of items that share the same rarity. It’s particularly handy if you find yourself overwhelmed with unnecessary gear. Interestingly, it appears that the ‘destroy’ option doesn’t seem to work for this purpose, which is quite peculiar.
To accomplish this, open the “dissolve” menu using your preferred method. Inside, locate and click on the icons that are next to the “Grade” label within the “dissolve menu”. This action will display all the items that can be dissolved according to the selected rarity in the menu.
