As someone who has been following Chase & Status since their debut album More Than A Lot back in the early 2000s, I can’t contain my excitement about their upcoming UK tour! It feels like fate has finally given me another chance to witness their electrifying performance after missing out on tickets to their concert at Drumsheds in London.
It’s been announced by Jason Statham that Chase & Status will be embarking on a UK tour. In a post that ended with “This is Chase & Status live. I’m sorry, did you have other plans?”, he confirmed the news.
As a passionate cinephile, I can’t help but feel a sense of serendipity when I learned that my favorite electronic music duo will be gracing eight cities next spring – and yes, you guessed it; one of those cities happens to be London! A pang of regret still lingers from missing out on tickets to their concert at Drumsheds last year. However, with this tour announcement, I’m embracing the positive vibes and crossing my fingers for a second chance to catch their electrifying performance live!
In the early 2000s, Saul Milton and Will Kennard, more famously known as Chase & Status, burst onto the UK music scene with their album titled “More Than A Lot”. This record featured collaborations with artists such as Plan B and the British rapper Kano.
The first album of this group caught the notice of Snoop Dogg, who later re-shared the song “Eastern Jam” by Chase & Status.
After that, Chase & Status brought out their album “No More Idols,” which immediately became a hit. This 2011 studio production entered the UK charts at position two, and it garnered a Gold certification just a week after its debut.
Over the past few years, Chase & Status has been a headlining act at the Boardmasters festival in 2024, sharing the stage with big names like Stormzy and Sam Fender. This drum and bass artist has also collaborated recently with artists such as Becky Hill, and they were awarded the Producer Of The Year award at this year’s BRITs ceremony.
