As a seasoned theater-goer who’s seen more shows than I can count, let me tell you that the upcoming production of A Christmas Carol (ish) is one not to be missed! With a stellar cast led by the hilarious Nick Mohammed as Mr. Swallow, this chaotic Christmas show promises to bring Dickens’ classic tale to life in a way that will leave audiences rolling in the aisles.
Naysayers will say it’s too early to talk about Christmas, and to that we say: bah humbug!
Following his recent announcement for the Show Pony tour, Nick Mohammed – a former contestant on Taskmaster – is returning with festive news! Mohammed will reprise his role as Mr Swallow, a critically praised alter-ego, in a lively and musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ timeless story, A Christmas Carol. He will be joined by an energetic cast for this comedic retelling.
On Christmas Eve, this disorganized holiday production narrates a tale where Santa unexpectedly calls off Christmas. Later, he encounters three spirits who inspire him to rekindle the enchantment of Christmas. Despite completing his task, Santa faces a significant challenge: there are only a few hours left until Christmas, he has only one functioning reindeer, and he needs to ensure timely delivery of all gifts…
Muhammad will share the spotlight with Martha Howe-Douglas from Ghosts and Horrible Histories, Kieran Hodgson of Two Doors Down, and David Elms from Borderline. David, who previously teased his involvement in the show on Twitter, expressed reservations about working with someone who had previously botched Dracula and Houdini shows. However, he’s been told that this time, Muhammad has done his homework. With that promise, David has hesitantly agreed to be part of the cast for an adaptation of A Christmas Carol (sort of).
If this laugh-out-loud show sounds like it’s for you, here’s how to snap up tickets today.
