As a lifelong fan of alternative music, I can hardly contain my excitement about Deftones’ upcoming concert in London next June! Ever since their formation back in 1988, they’ve been a driving force behind the genre and have released nine studio albums, including the Grammy Award-nominated Ohms studio album in 2020. I remember when I first heard them, I was just a kid, and their unique sound instantly resonated with me.
Recently, some well-known artists have been gracing the British stage, such as Iggy Pop performing in both London and Glasgow, Scissor Sisters touring across the UK with shows in cities like Leeds, Birmingham, and Belfast (among others), and now Deftones have planned a concert in London.
As a hardcore music enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that come next June, my favorite alternative metal band is set to take the stage at London’s Crystal Palace Park! And get this – Weezer and High Vis will also be performing. Can’t wait for the announcement of more acts joining us in what promises to be an unforgettable concert experience!
Back in the day, you might recall that Weezer, known for their hit “Buddy Holly,” previously collaborated with Green Day and Fall Out Boy for a worldwide tour called ‘Hella Mega Tour’ in 2022. Additionally, 2022 will mark Deftones’ final performance in the UK.
Hailing from its founding members Chino Moreno, Frank Delgado, Stephen Carpenter, and Abe Cunningham, Deftones is a Grammy Award-winning alternative rock band that has significantly influenced the genre since their establishment in 1988. Fascinatingly, Deftones was actually formed when Chino Moreno was only 16 years old!
As a die-hard music fan, I’ve got to say that so far, I’ve been blessed with nine incredible studio albums from the legendary band Deftones. Among these, their 2020 release, Ohms, even earned a Grammy nomination!

Currently, the early bird sales for Deftones’ concert in collaboration with the artist and O2 Priority are happening. They went live as of 9am on Wednesday 5th November.
