As it’s clear you intend to access that particular item, you’ll require the key which Prudence always keeps on hand. However, she only entrusts it to her butler, Jenks, and he’s been absent from Datlow Hall for a while now.
How To Find Prudence Rook At Datlow Hall
Datlow Hall is a secluded estate nestled on the outskirts of Wyndham Village, within the tranquil confines of Casterfell Woods. Its coordinates are approximately 26.2E, 85.4N, making it easily accessible from various points such as the Village, the Interchange, or even the Sewer Tunnels.
The entire front entrance is obstructed by debris, making it necessary for you to navigate through the unkempt garden instead. While they encircle the building completely, entering the house will be most convenient if you proceed clockwise from the front door. On the other hand, should you gain access to the property through a gap in the back wall, moving counterclockwise will lead you to the side door.
On the property, there are numerous pressure-sensitive wires that set off lethal fire and spike traps. Before trying to go in, make sure you’ve mastered the skill of Disarming Traps if you haven’t already.
Wise one isn’t very talkative, but she’ll greet you and caution you about the Conservatory. Do take some items like a comic book up the stairs – please do feel free to grab them if you wish.
Where Is Jenks?
Jenks is located beyond Casterfell Woods, near the dam in the northwest corner of the map, if he’s still there at all. Navigate cautiously through the woods, mindful of the druid patrols, outlaws, and hornet nests, to reach 20.2E, 90.4N, where you should retrieve the letter from his remains.
While you’re at the location, it would be beneficial to check out the Dam Storehouse and retrieve the Training Stimulant within.
How To Open The Conservatory
Return to Datlow Hall and exhibit the letter to Prudence for her to hand over the Conservatory Key. Then, head outside and proceed towards the other side of the house. Be mindful if you didn’t deactivate all the traps during your initial visit; tread carefully!
Within the Conservatory lies a few essential items, including a Stealth Techniques Handbook. This invaluable find, earned after your efforts at Datlow Hall, grants you abilities such as Silent Takedown and Stealthy Moves. Additionally, showing Prudence Charity’s letter from within the Conservatory unlocks extra dialogue options with her. However, she won’t have any further conversation for the remainder of the game after this interaction.
In other words, while it’s possible to eliminate Prudence and grab the key from her, this action could alter the specifics of the ending you receive since the epilogue considers whether or not you harm non-aggressive characters.
