As a seasoned cinephile who has spent countless Christmases traipsing through theme parks with my brood, I can confidently say that LEGOLAND is the pièce de résistance of holiday destinations. The sheer magnitude of festive cheer that envelops this park during December is enough to make even the Grinch feel jolly!
In the approach towards the joyful holiday season, you might be pondering over the ideal spots for a family outing during the children’s winter break?
Well allow us to present you with an answer: LEGOLAND.
Each December, I find myself enchanted by the festive splendor that LEGOLAND transforms into. The park is adorned with the merriest, most joyful holiday decorations, while a plethora of Christmas shows and attractions fill the air with seasonal cheer.
The celebrations encompass events such as Ollie’s Christmas Chaos and Father Christmas’ Enchanting Sleigh, along with constructive workshops, overnights at festive hotels, and opportunities to encounter the main character himself.
The occasion kicks off on the 23rd of November, and it will continue for specific days through December, extending well into the beginning of the New Year.
Previously, this event was incredibly well-received, so it’s advisable to secure your tickets early to avoid disappointment. If you don’t, you might regret it later.

What is LEGOLAND doing for Christmas 2024?
Every year during the Christmas season, LEGOLAND transforms into a vibrant festive wonderland filled with holiday cheer. The entire park is adorned with beautiful decorations and an abundance of special attractions are unveiled.
Families can expect Christmas-themed shows, workshops and plenty of photo opportunities.
Which LEGOLAND rides and attractions are open at Christmas?
25 rides and attractions are operational during LEGOLAND’s Christmas celebration. These include popular options such as The Dragon, Flight of the Sky Lion, LEGO City Driving School, among others. Notably, some of these rides will remain active even after sunset.
From a movie-loving perspective, let me share some exciting news! Alongside the main attractions, we’ve got some fantastic surprises lined up for you this holiday season. You’ll have the chance to witness Santa Claus and his merry band of dancing elves zooming around the park in Father Christmas’s Magical Sleigh. And if that’s not enough, there’s Ollie’s Christmas Chaos, a show where our lovable dragon, Ollie, lends a helping hand to the elves as they race against time to deliver all those children’s letters to the North Pole! So buckle up and get ready for a magical ride!
Additionally, festive LEGO displays are found in Miniland, offering opportunities for fun selfies with LEGO Santa figures. Furthermore, interactive workshops such as building your own train and the Build to Give workshop are available. In this latter workshop, each time someone constructs a LEGO heart, a LEGO set will be given to charity.
Last but not least, you have the chance to meet and greet the real Santa. For this, you’ll need to buy an additional ticket and book yourself a slot, but it’s all worth it when your child comes away with the ultimate Christmas memory and a sneaky extra present.
Is LEGOLAND open in December?
Yes. LEGOLAND is open in December, but not every day.
As a holiday enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that our beloved park will be opening on special occasions to match its grand Christmas celebrations! The dates you need to mark in your calendar are: 1st of December, 7th and 8th, 13th through the 23rd, and finally from the 27th to the 31st of December. I can hardly wait!
LEGOLAND will not be open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
What are the dates for Christmas at LEGOLAND 2024?
As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that my favorite destination, LEGOLAND, will be hosting its enchanting Christmas event on these special days: 23rd November, the magical 30th November through the 1st of December, the jolly 7th and 8th of December, the festive 13th December up until the 4th of January. Can’t wait to immerse myself in the holiday spirit!
How much do LEGOLAND at Christmas tickets cost?
At LEGOLAND’s Christmas celebration, the basic admission fee per adult is around £29, but due to high demand during most of December (considered peak season), you might end up paying £34 or even £37 if you book in advance. On-the-spot tickets are significantly pricier, starting at £68. Luckily, kids under 90cm can enter for free!
To include a meeting with Santa Claus during your visit, each child will require an extra £25 ticket.
Meanwhile, short breaks start at £60 per person.
How to get LEGOLAND at Christmas tickets
LEGOLAND tickets are available at the official LEGOLAND website.
Currently, there’s plenty of space available throughout December, so go ahead and reserve your spot promptly, as holiday demand tends to increase rapidly.
