As someone who grew up with the original Pokémon series, I must say that the return of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) with the Pocket edition has brought back a flood of nostalgia. The struggle to obtain rare cards like Mew was always part of the experience, and even though it can be frustrating at times, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of finally getting that elusive card.
Despite only recently launching, the Pokémon TCG Pocket has quickly become popular among ’90s children. While there are some novel features, at heart, it remains the same card game that we enjoyed in our childhood.
Trading is on the way, and just looking at the cards fills us with nostalgia.
Also, it’s still frustratingly hard to come by rare Pokémon.
Instead of skipping this part of the vintage game, we find that encountering the excitement of unveiling a seldom-seen card becomes even more enchanting because of it.
One such rare is Mew (just like it was back in the day).

In the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), capturing Mew may seem straightforward, but don’t let that fool you – it could take time and patience to acquire one. Also, when you finally manage to get Mew, keep in mind that it isn’t the strongest Pokémon out there.
But we reckon it’s worth the effort. Who doesn’t want the star of the first Pokémon film in their arsenal?
To acquire Mew in the Pokémon TCG Pocket, you’ll have to achieve a special task: Finish filling your Kanto Pokédex, which requires collecting all 150 of the original Pokémon.
I mentioned earlier that it might take some time, but let me tell you, it’s an engaging game! Just gaze at Mew’s expression – each passing moment is worth it.
