As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged in various MMOs and RPGs, I can confidently say that the Settlers of Kalguur expansion for Path of Exile has provided me with yet another engaging challenge. In my quest to upgrade my character and progress through this expansive world, I recently came across the elusive Petrified Amber Ore.
While exploring the expanded world of Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur, you’ll undoubtedly discover enhancements that call for Petrified Amber Ore. But, there’s a prerequisite you must meet before you can start mining it. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the steps to fulfill that requirement!
How to Mine Petrified Amber Ore
To be able to mine Petrified Amber Ore, you need to upgrade your Mining to Rank 3. To do so, head to the Mining Establishment which is located west of the Kingsmarch Tavern. Once you get there, click on the hammer icon which says Mining Improvements.
Following that, I’d recommend clicking the “Upgrade” button. To proceed with the upgrade, you’ll require these resources:
- 120 Gold
- 10 Crimson Iron Ore
- 8 Orichalcum Ore
- 10 Wheat
After completing the task, I navigate towards the interactive panel known as “Mining Information”. This panel is conveniently located in close proximity to the icon that resembles a hammer.
Click on the “Manage Workers” button located at the top middle of the menu.
You’re now ready to delegate your miners to mine Petrified Amber Ore. Just click the small ‘downward arrow’ button on any of your miners, followed by selecting ‘Petrified Amber Ore’ from the menu that appears.
As a gamer, when I’ve allocated my crew of miners, I can check out the hourly yield of Petrified Amber Ore they’ll be churning out. The more miners I delegate for the task, the better the haul of Petrified Amber Ore I’ll gather at the end of each hour. It’s also essential to note that the miner’s rank influences the rate at which they excavate this valuable resource.
