As a gamer, after obtaining the third story-required Alter slot, I was informed that I could acquire additional slots by enhancing my Quantum Computer’s Qubit level. To achieve this, I need to gather Damaged Chips and fix them at the Workshop to convert them into Qubit Chips.
You’ll come across a total of 3 damaged chips in the game, and each one you locate will provide an additional alter slot for you. By collecting all of them, you’ll be able to access a maximum of 6 alter slots per playthrough. However, this number isn’t enough to have every alter available at once, so it incentivizes replaying the game if you want to see all the different Jans.
The first damaged chip is located in Act 1. You can find it at the position indicated on the provided map. It’s situated near the mineral deposit that plays a crucial role in the narrative.
The following Damaged Chip can be located in Act 2, and it’s situated near an Enriched Metal deposit, not too distant from your base.
In the second act, you’ll discover the third and last Damaged Chip hidden deeper within the region, enclosed by a significant anomaly within the woodland. You’ll have to be patient until the anomaly reduces in size so that you can access and destroy its cores to retrieve the chip.
