How to Get Sally in Disney Dreamlight Valley

As a dedicated fan of Disney Dreamlight Valley, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and frustration with the latest update that brings Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas into our magical valley. Having eagerly anticipated her arrival since Jack Skellington made his grand entrance nearly a year ago, I’ve been eagerly waiting to sew, dance, and sing with my favorite Halloween Town resident.

The latest update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, titled Sew Delightful, has arrived, and it introduces the long-awaited character from The Nightmare Before Christmas: Sally! As with any new character, players are eager to learn how to add them to their roster. Some characters, like Tiana, can be acquired easily, while others, such as Timon and Pumbaa, necessitate meeting certain prerequisites first before their quests even commence. Since Sally is paired with Jack Skellington in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it’s not surprising that obtaining her involves having Jack initially. However, the other requirements to initiate Sally’s quest in Dreamlight Valley may not be immediately clear.

Players have been eagerly requesting Sally ever since Jack Skellington made his appearance in Disney Dreamlight Valley about a year ago. However, just because they’ve asked for her doesn’t automatically mean everyone has had the chance to meet and fully develop their friendship with Jack. After all, new players are constantly joining the Valley, and there’s a vast amount of content to explore before Jack becomes available. The grind in Dreamlight is indeed quite real.

To sew with the character Sally in Disney Dreamlight Valley, fans must first build a strong relationship with Jack, reaching the highest friendship level, prior to starting her quest. This is consistent with other quests where friendship with Simba and Nala is required before locating Timon and Pumbaa. Notably, initiating Sally’s quest may take a bit more effort compared to those, so dedicated Nightmare Before Christmas fans might need some patience before they can befriend Sally.

All Requirements to Unlock the Sally Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The journey to encounter Sally initiates when you receive a letter from Jack, labeled “A Wonderful Surprise!” However, gamers should first ensure they’ve satisfied the prerequisites to ignite this questline. Judging by the instructional letter on Unlocking Sally and specifics from Sally’s mission, it appears that the following criteria must be fulfilled before Jack will dispatch that crucial missive.

  • Level 10 Friendship with Jack Skellington
  • Unlock Mirabel and complete her first friendship quest
  • Unlock Vanellope Von Schweetz with Dreamsnaps quest
  • Unlock Remy
  • Complete Merlin’s Odds & Ends Story Quest

Before becoming friends with Jack, it’s necessary to first encounter him. Unlocking this interaction happens immediately after completing The Remembered quest. This is also when players will assist the forgotten souls, a task that helps restore the Orb of Remembrance to the Forgotten lands. It’s in these lands where you’ll eventually gain the ability to meet Jack Skellington for the first time.

To meet or interact with Jack, you need to locate the four nested Russian dolls known as Matryoshkas. These dolls can be quite hard to come by. In some cases, the final doll may not appear for players at all, which means many might not have even encountered Jack yet, not to mention reaching friendship level 10 with him. With the recent update, it’s worth another visit to the Valley to check if that tricky fourth doll will materialize this time.

It seems that Mirabel, together with Vanellope and Remy, are integral to Sally’s journey. Therefore, it is necessary for their residences to be situated within the Valley prior to the commencement of Sally’s quest.

After players discover the Golden Doorknob and perform acts of friendship to invite Mirabel and her home into the Valley, Remy becomes accessible by exploring the Ratatouille realm within the Castle. Furthermore, Vanellope is present in the castle and provides guidance on how to assist her escape and join your own Valley.

As a thrilled player, once you’ve ticked off all the necessary prerequisites, Jack will reward you with the “A Delightful Surprise!” quest! This is your chance to aid Sally in her predicament. To initiate this adventure, make your way to Kristoff’s abode nestled within the Forest of Valor biome. Once there, follow the quest instructions to gather Spiderwebs and collaborate with the spiders to open a portal, ultimately freeing Sally from her current imprisonment in another realm.

The quest itself won’t be too challenging, though it does require a few specific ingredients to craft the required Rejuvenation Potion. Those ingredients include:

  • Empty Vial
  • Blueberry Pie
  • 4 Red Bell Flowers
  • 4 Night Shards
  • 6 Cotton
  • 8 Mushrooms

Most of these materials are pretty easy to track down, though players may need to do some experiments in the kitchen if they’ve never made Blueberry Pie before.

This dish requires Blueberry, Wheat, and Butter, which are all fairly easy to find. Wheat can be grown from seeds bought in the Peaceful Meadow, while blueberries can be foraged from Dazzle Beach and the Forest of Valor. Chef Remy himself sells butter, so heading to his kitchen to make the blueberry pie rounds out your ingredient trio.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, completing Sally’s quest may prove challenging primarily because reaching a point where you can initiate her quest could require significant effort, rather than the quest itself having excessive grinding.
