How to get Shifters tickets as Tosin Cole play opens at West End

As a seasoned theatergoer who has seen more plays than I can count (and lost track of), I must say that the upcoming West End debut of Shifters is one production I am genuinely excited about. With Tosin Cole, a familiar face from Doctor Who and Supacell, joining forces with the talented Heather Agyepong, this intoxicating exploration of relationships promises to be a captivating journey.

As a longtime fan of both Doctor Who and Supacell, I am thrilled to learn that Tosin Cole is returning to the stage this month for a fresh run of Shifters. Having followed his career since his days as an ex-Doctor Who companion, it’s always a pleasure to see him taking on new roles. His experience in both television and film has clearly honed his acting skills, making me confident that his portrayal of the characters in Shifters will be nothing short of captivating. I can’t wait to catch this production and witness Tosin Cole’s talent firsthand!

The play will be making its first appearance on the West End stage at Duke of York’s Theatre, after it had a successful premiere at The Bush Theatre earlier in the year.

Titled “Shifters,” this captivating production features Cole and Heather Agyepong (from School Girls) and delves into the intricacies of human connections. Written by acclaimed playwright Benedict Lombe and skillfully directed by Lynette Linton, it’s an engaging exploration of relationships that leaves you spellbound.

It follows the lives of exes Dre and Des and their reunion after eight years away from each other.

Following its performance off the main theater circuit, the production garnered universally positive feedback, with critics using terms like “engrossing”, “hilariously amusing”, and “impressive” among others to describe it.

If you’re seeking a tale that will make you laugh, cry, and immerse yourself entirely, here’s where you can secure your admission.

What is the play Shifters about?

Titled “Shifters,” this narrative follows Dre (played by Heather Agyepong) and Des (portrayed by Tosin Cole), an estranged couple who reconnect eight years following the conclusion of their romantic involvement.

At age 32, their paths have diverged significantly, with Des realizing her artistic aspirations in America while Dre remained rooted at home. As Des prepares to depart once more, an unavoidable reconnection occurs between them, stirring memories of the past and leaving them questioning if fate has brought them back together for some purpose.
