How to Get Story Magic Quickly in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s The Storybook Vale

As a seasoned Disney Dreamlight Valley adventurer, I’ve grown accustomed to the grind for Dreamlight, but the introduction of Storybook Vale and its new magical currency, Story Magic, has added an exciting twist to my gaming life! The quest to clean up those pesky Inkies in the Vale is reminiscent of battling Night Thorns, only this time with a Scottish lass named Merida leading the charge.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’re well aware of the repetitive tasks to gather enough Dreamlight to unlock additional zones and amenities. Naturally, the fresh Expansion Pass called Storybook Vale includes a novel in-game enchanted currency for players to pursue.

As players step foot in the Vale for the first time, they’ll stumble upon a fresh magical conundrum – a mischievous spill of ink. These pesky ink drops serve as the Vale’s equivalent to Night Thorns, and Merida has affectionately named them “Inkies.” To combat this new manifestation of magic run amok, the Storybook Vale Expansion Pass introduces Story Magic, a powerful tool designed to set things right.

As adventurers delve into the freshly discovered world, they’ll have to amass a good amount of Story Magic to open up new locations. Much like Dreamlight, Story Magic is predominantly obtained by accomplishing various assignments – these being referred to as Storybook Tasks within this Expansion Pack. These new tasks are reminiscent of the Dreamlight Tasks from the valley, requiring players to finish in-game activities such as feeding creatures, capturing fragments, and gathering resources across the Vale.

Initially, the number of Story Magic needed for players to unlock new areas to explore is quite feasible, around 2000 Story Magic to access The Wild Woods. Given that most players will have already gathered close to this amount by rescuing Merida and aiding the Lorekeeper during the game’s introduction, it should only require capturing a handful of Snippets in The Storybook Castle to meet the requirement.

Once they’ve exhausted their Story Magic to access this fresh biome, players might find themselves on a quest to quickly amass more Story Magic. Each additional biome beyond The Wild Woods requires 5000 units of Story Magic, which can seem quite substantial when most Storybook Tasks yield only a few Story Magic at once.

For those aiming to swiftly accumulate the Story Magic essential for progressing through the story, it’s advisable to prioritize exploring new zones, accepting additional quests, and contributing to saving the Vale. In the Dreamlight tab, there are primarily two methods to gather Story Magic – completing daily Storybook Duties and the Storybook Vale Expansion Pass section.

In simpler terms, Storybook Tasks in the Vale are equivalent to Dreamlight Duties elsewhere, offering roughly the same reward levels. These tasks often involve everyday activities you might find yourself doing in a game, such as preparing meals, mining gems, or selling items at Goofy’s Stall. Each completed task earns around 50 Story Magic, which may not seem like much initially, but accumulates over time to be quite useful.

Instead of Storybook Vale tasks offering the least Story Magic, they actually award the most. These challenges are designed as long-term collections for the newly introduced region, requiring players to capture specific kinds of Snippets, feed certain creatures, and overall work towards restoring the Vale. It’s particularly beneficial for players to prioritize capturing Snippets and eliminating smaller Inkies, as these activities tend to yield higher amounts of Story Magic.

Tasks provide between 100-250 Story Magic per level, with the reward amount growing as players accumulate more types. Additionally, both options present extra rewards: Gathered Snippets aid in restoring tales within the Lorekeeper’s pages, while eradicating Inkies yields coins and random item drops.

Are you finding it tedious to constantly pursue Short Clips or running low on Bonus Items to clean up? Additionally, feeding your owl and dragon preferred meals can yield a satisfactory return and even grant you new pet friends during the process.
