As a devoted cinephile who has fond memories of growing up with British comedy, I can hardly contain my excitement about The Fast Show‘s 2025 UK tour! Having witnessed their incredible comeback earlier this year and being a die-hard fan since its debut in the ’90s, it feels like Christmas has come early.
After witnessing the triumphant culmination of their 30th-anniversary tour this year, I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly await the reunion of The Fast Show cast for another series of live performances in 2025.
In November, comedians Charlie Higson, Paul Whitehouse, Simon Day, John Thomson, Arabella Weir, and Mark Williams will be appearing together on stage for a series of fifteen performances throughout the United Kingdom.
“An Evening with The Fast Show”: This special event offers an opportunity to revisit the glory days of the iconic ’90s sketch show. The original cast will share stories from its inception, behind-the-scenes insights, and anecdotes from throughout the years. To make it even more engaging, popular skits, monologues, and songs from the show will be presented.
Way back in ’94, I discovered “The Fast Show” gracing BBC Two’s airwaves. Since then, it’s been one of the most impactful sketch shows ever made, bursting with quotable catchphrases and iconic characters such as Ted and Ralph, Jesse, Swiss Toni, and the unforgettable “Does My Bum Look Big in This?” scene.
The cast returned for their first comeback tour in February to great acclaim from critics and fans.
In the unveiling of the latest tour, Charlie Higson explained: “The Fast Show revolved around repetition, memorable phrases, and well-known characters. Therefore, we’re planning to reprise our previous tour using the same catchphrases and characters. We hope that our audience will find it fresh and original.
Paul Whitehouse added: “The Fast Show back on tour again, sir? Oooooh – suit you, madam!”
