A Comprehensive Guide to Unlocking and Understanding the Master of Chaos Scroll in The First Berserker Khazan.
In the game, The First Berserker Khazan’s Master of Chaos Scroll grants the strongest armor set and Dual Wield ability. However, obtaining this scroll is extremely challenging, bordering on impossible at times. A more straightforward approach would be for the Master of Chaos Scroll to be awarded automatically upon defeating the final boss, The First Berserker. This reward isn’t contingent on any specific ending and is designed to be accessible across all three game endings: Normal, The First Berserker, and Chains.
Since the game’s recent update on April 3rd, 2025, I’ve encountered an issue where the coveted Master of Chaos Scroll fails to drop upon defeating the game’s final boss. It’s frustrating, but hopefully, the developers will squash this bug soon!
Luckily, you have an opportunity left to possibly acquire the Scroll before venturing into New Game+. Here’s some valuable information regarding the Master of Chaos Scroll in The First Berserker Khazan and instructions on how to secure it.

How To Unlock the Master of Chaos Scroll in The First Berserker Khazan
In the main storyline quest known as “Master of Chaos,” defeating Ozma guarantees the acquisition of the “Chaos Master Scroll” as a reward, regardless of the ending chosen. Unfortunately, this scroll often fails to appear for players post-defeat of Ozma, with many reporting this bug. It seems that this problem is particularly prevalent among those who pursued the game’s true ending, “The First Berserker.
Additionally, it’s been noted that certain players who opted for the Normal conclusion didn’t receive the Scroll. Regrettably, after deciding at Daphrona during the Master of Chaos mission, you won’t be able to secure a different ending unless you start a new game (either New Game or New Game Plus).
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that whenever I replay a quest, it leads me to the same old ending, even if I skip straight to the boss. But here’s a tip: If you give the boss a rematch a few times over, there’s a chance you might stumble upon the Master of Chaos Scroll. Our team at Deltia’s Gaming managed to grab it after vanquishing Ozma no less than five times. It’s worth mentioning that we aimed for the true ending, which involves a three-phase battle with the formidable Ozma.
Regrettably, there’s no certainty that you’ll get the Scroll each time you defeat Ozma. Some gamers have shared their experiences of not receiving the Scroll despite defeating him multiple times.
Alternative Methods To Obtain the Master Chaos Scroll
There are two options to obtain the Master of Chaos Scroll: either restart the game from scratch after defeating Ozma, aiming for the Normal ending, or reset your current game’s progress by loading a previous save. Both methods require considerable time investment. Interestingly, starting over in a new playthrough seems to be the key to acquiring the Master of Chaos Scroll. Don’t forget that you can choose the “Load Game” option from the main menu to reset your progress if needed.
Additionally, let’s note that Neople has admitted to the problem with the Master of Chaos Scroll. They have also pledged to rectify this issue in a future title patch.
