In the game titled “Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl,” there are numerous unexpected elements, including formidable adversaries. While mutants can indeed be hostile, it’s crucial to note that humans might present an even greater danger, particularly the military forces.
You have two options for dealing with these types of foes: one direct approach is to eliminate them immediately, or you can opt for a more subtle strategy that keeps their notice at bay. The first choice is relatively straightforward because it doesn’t necessitate much strategic thinking, whereas the second requires thoughtful planning and patience – a skill set that isn’t always easy to master.
How To Perform Stealth Kills
When engaging a mutant in combat, it’s crucial to exercise great caution because they tend to spot you quickly. Conversely, when fighting humans, you’ll have an easier time staying hidden. To execute a sneak attack effectively, your best strategy would be to stay low and hide behind cover whenever possible.
In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the AI controlling the enemies is clever, often allowing them to detect you before you’ve even become aware of their presence. This means that you need to stay vigilant and always remain one step ahead, keeping a close eye on your surroundings.
As I hunker down, a dark veil seems to fall over my environment, hinting at the stealthy advantage I now possess.
When you see an enemy, squat down and tail them. It shouldn’t be overly challenging, but make sure there aren’t any other potential threats nearby, as they might set a trap or launch an ambush.
Once you’ve identified the right foe, here’s what you do: Get low by crouching behind them, then grab your knife. When you’re close enough, Skif alters his grip on the knife, which signals it’s time to strike. Just press the firing key, and Skif will swiftly execute a silent kill on your target.
If you perform a stealth kill when another enemy is nearby, you most likely will be spotted.
Other Ways To Do Stealth Takedowns
I find the use of a knife can be quite laborious, so some may lose patience during the operation and resort to the more straightforward method of all-out attack.
In this game, the weapons can be used effectively without needing a knife, as they don’t reveal your position to an enemy army unless you expose yourself directly to them.
During your missions, or perhaps tucked away in hidden caches, you might come across these weapons. It’s also worth mentioning that you won’t need to spend time searching extensively for a silenced weapon, as you’ll be able to obtain one relatively early on in the game.
To obtain your initial silenced firearm, complete the mission named ‘All That is Left’. This assignment might require some time, but trust us, it’s well worth the effort. In case you’ve got a silencer already, feel free to equip it onto Skif’s pistol instead.
It’s still suggested to adopt a low profile and stealthily trail your adversaries from behind, aiming to eliminate them using your silenced weapon. Alternatively, if you’re feeling bold, you can attempt a swift attack with a precise headshot. However, maintaining a position behind your enemy is generally the best approach.
