How to power on the Central Processor in Atomfall and unlock access to Oberon

Atomfall offers numerous routes towards conclusion, each featuring distinct characters who offer various avenues for exploration.

One intriguing clue that surfaces is Oberon. The enigmatic call within Slatten Dale initially brings up Oberon, while the subsequent dialogue between Captain Sims further confirms its mention.

In the Interchange, you’ll find Oberon clearly indicated, with an entrance leading to it being found off the Central Processor. At first, this entryway isn’t open for use, but only once the Central Processor has been activated will it become accessible.

To do that and open access to Oberon, follow these steps.

Power up all of the Interchange Data Stores

Upon your initial interaction with the Central Processing Unit, it’s in an off state and remains so. The control panel displays a schematic of circuits, with all Data Storage units feeding into the Central Processor.

We provide instructions for activating Data Stores A and B, but Data Stores C and D are easier to set up. To get started with either one, first locate an Atomic Battery.

Powering up the whole Interchange is quite a procedure, and it’s crucial for gaining access to Oberon. In other words, it’s a key action that should be taken if your goal is to reach Oberon.

How to power on the Central Processor

After turning on all the Data Centers, there are additional tasks left. Upon returning to the Main Computer now, you will notice the displayed image.

All Data Stores are illuminated, yet the link to the Main Processing Unit remains inactive, as does the switch to power it up. Fortunately, this procedure seems quite straightforward.

In the Control Center, it’s time to install the Signal Diverter. At this stage of the game, you should already possess it, whether you obtained it from Dr. Garrow or through an alternate method provided.

Inside the Central Processing Room, you’ll find panels that can be manipulated using the Signal Redirector. As you proceed with this action, control panels will rise up from the floor.

After finishing with all of them, return to the central yellow control panel and approach the lever. Now, you can operate it to activate the Central Processor.

From now on, you’ll witness the Central Processor springing to life right before your eyes, with an appearance reminiscent of the image displayed at the top of this post. It’s quite retro-futuristic, like something out of classic science fiction.

Once the Main Processor starts running, it will awaken the Oberon door as well. You are then free to proceed through the hallway and continue your journey along this path if desired.

If you’ve managed to release Dr. Garrow up until now, you have the opportunity to converse with her, and she will provide feedback about your recent accomplishments. However, if you haven’t advanced her investigation, there won’t be any additional information she can provide for you.
