Typically, the doctors in Paradis haven’t dealt with patients who have died, but the Watcher is a unique healer who specializes in supernatural matters.

In the primary mission “An Untimely End,” your map will guide you to where the Watcher is situated. However, reaching the Watcher isn’t as straightforward as following a marked path. Instead, you’ll need to navigate challenging terrains and less-traveled routes to finally find her.

Below, we’ll give you a breakdown of exactly what you need to do to reach the Watcher in Avowed:

Fast travel to The Rise Party Camp, which is located just northeast of Paradis and south of the Shrine to Woedica
Go north towards the Shrine to Woedica and cross a bridge
Head straight until you see a split bridge to the east
Go to the edge of the first half of the bridge and aim at the water beneath
Either use a freeze spell or an Eye of Rymrgand grenade to freeze the water. This creates a small patch of ice that you can jump on and use to vault yourself up to the next half of the bridge

Head north after getting off the broken bridge and keep going until you reach a fork
Go towards the right and continue until you reach the Watcher’s house, which is accessed by going up some stairs
The Watcher’s house is called Runyd’s House and is marked on the map after you reach it

The most challenging aspect of this voyage involves making the water beneath the shattered bridge solidify. Upon first sighting the broken bridge, you might consider turning back or attempting a jump to the other side, which is impractical. Alternatively, you can generate several sheets of ice by using multiple methods, though remember that these icy patches last approximately five seconds.

After crossing the bridge, the journey becomes straightforward. You’ve got about 100 meters left until you reach Ruynd’s House. There’s an NPC waiting outside her house too, and if you’re curious, you can chat with them. Also, keep an eye out for a dead body nearby; it has the unique Wayfarer’s Ring on it, which you might find interesting to loot.

Upon reaching the Watcher’s residence, step inside and converse with her to advance the “An Untimely End” mission in Avowed. After chatting with the Watcher, I advise you to explore her dwelling further, as there are several chests and other useful items strewn about that you can claim. One of the upstairs chests houses some essential Adra. However, once the quest is completed, feel free to return to Paradis and discuss with the ambassador to proceed with the story in Avowed.
