As a dedicated fan, I’m excited to share my insights on the innovative feature in “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.” Ubisoft has introduced an engaging system whereby you can construct your secret hideout and enlist allies who can perform numerous tasks within the base or aid you during combat situations out in the open world. In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through the process of recruiting all the fight-assisting characters that Ubisoft has made available for your team.
How to Recruit All the Allies in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Essentially, what you should do is keep on moving forward in the story. Many of the characters you encounter are those you’ll meet during the main storyline, although some won’t be available for recruitment until after your initial interaction with them.
Keep in mind that certain characters may require you to make individual decisions for them to participate. Here’s a breakdown of the actions required for each character, as detailed below:
This version aims to be more conversational and easier to understand.
- Yaya – First off, you can recruit Yaya after one of the earlier main missions of the game. This will open up a side quest called The Stray Dogs, in which you can recruit her to your cause. Make sure to choose the options revolving around forgiveness so that she will consider joining you.
- Gennojo – Gennojo is a potential romantic interest of Naoe, though you are not required to engage in it if you want him to join your cause. Be careful as you approach the end of his questline, as you have to calm him down rather than just doing nothing. Make sure to pick the obviously favorable responses too.
- Ibuki – He becomes available once you can play as Yasuke, and you have to be that character in order to recruit Ibuki. He is a potential romantic interest of Yasuke if you are not playing Canon Mode, though it is not required to recruit him. Make sure to say “I have changed” in one of the quests, and keep a certain NPC alive during a later moment.
- Katsuhime – Another character that you can recruit as you hunt down the Shinbakufu, Naoe can have her join the cause by simply completing related questlines and asking her to come along. Naoe can romance her as well, though this is not required to recruit her.
- Oni-yuri – In order to have Oni-yuri join the cause, all you need to do is complete all of the quests related to her. After all of that, you can simply ask her to join you. To do any of this, you must speak with her at Sotomo Gate in the Wakasa region.
- Yagoro – Finally, this man can be found within the Harima region. In order to recruit him, you will first need to go through the quest called A Blade in the Dark, which you can start after slaying all of the Shinbakufu. Needless to say, this one will take a while if you just started.
Essentially, here’s all you should understand to locate and possibly enlist all the game’s current allies. Remember, though, the blacksmith is an exception because he becomes part of your story with minimal effort, and he essentially serves as your first ally, excluding the child who accompanies you without formal recruitment.
