In this game, taking a break is rather straightforward. All you need to do is locate a secure area initially, which could be virtually anywhere in the world, provided there aren’t any threats nearby. Once you’ve found such a place that seems safe for you, simply press and hold the Square button briefly, and Sam will settle down for a rest on the ground.

During your downtime, various options will pop up on the screen for you to choose from. These range from making Sam play the harmonica if you’ve previously acquired it, to allowing him to doze off again by pressing Square. This brief nap will restore Sam’s Stamina and Blood levels. Once you’re ready to continue, simply press R1 to have Sam stand up once more.

Regarding rest, feel free to catch some z’s in your personal space at any secure facility or waystation. It’s highly suggested that you take a brief siesta before resuming work!
