How to Stream Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s Final Show Live

The closing performance by Black Sabbath, titled “Back to the Beginning,” is drawing near, and it features an impressive roster of artists.

In July, the original members of the band – Ozzy Osbourne (vocalist), Tony Iommi (guitarist), Geezer Butler (bassist), and Bill Ward (drummer) – will reunite for a concert after 20 years at Villa Park on July 5th, in their native city of Birmingham.

In February, it was revealed by Tony Iommi and Sharon Osbourne, who manages him and is his wife, that they would be performing their last live show at Villa Park – a significant announcement for all fans.

Among the seasoned metal bands, the concert lineup will also include other legendary figures in the genre. Notable acts include Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax (all known as thrash metal pioneers), plus a selection of heavy metal giants such as Pantera, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, and the recent Grammy-winning group Gojira.

The lead vocalists from Smashing Pumpkins (Billy Corgan), Disturbed (David Draiman), Guns N’ Roses (Duff McKagan), Anthrax (Frank Bello and Scott Ian), Limp Bizkit (Fred Durst), Sammy Hagar, Ghost’s Papa V Perpetua, Wolfgang Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, Korn (Jonathan Davis), and Slash are all expected to attend the event.

The upcoming event aims to collect funds for three organizations: Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, which is a children’s hospice that Aston Villa supports.

In a more recent phase of his life, dealing with Parkinson’s disease and multiple health challenges, Ozzy made a public appearance during the half-time show at the NFL game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Buffalo Bills, which took place in the year 2022.

But rumours of a reunion show from the metal pioneers have been rife in recent years.

2024 saw Sharon mention that Ozzy had arrangements for “two final performances” prior to his complete retirement.

She shared with journalist Jane Moore (through Music News) that although he won’t embark on touring again, they are arranging two final performances as a way of saying farewell. He expressed his desire to express goodbye to his fans, as he has never done so before.

Sharon went on to say: “His voice remains impeccable. Despite his absence, he’s been diligently practicing his singing. Regardless of whether one admires his music or not, it’s hard not to appreciate Ozzy.
