Among the more challenging monsters encountered in Monster Hunter Wilds, Jin Dahaad stands out. This monster is capable of unleashing a massive fire blast that engulfs its entire arena. If you fail to dodge this explosion, you will be instantly knocked out. However, there’s a technique for dodging the attack, but it can sometimes be difficult to spot.
How to survive Jin Dahaad’s blast
In Chapter 3-2: Nothing Frozen, Nothing Gained, players will encounter the formidable Jin Dahaad who possesses an incredibly powerful blast. This blast can instantly defeat you, regardless of your location within the arena. To stay alive against this attack, consider moving rocks suspended in mid-air and using them as a protective shield.
When Jin Dahaad constructs a small den and prepares to attack, swiftly look overhead to locate a boulder to dislodge. Target the rock and employ your Stinger to tug the rocks from their position. Once it falls, position yourself behind the boulder, ensuring it acts as a shield between you and Jin Dahaad. If executed properly, the explosion will strike the rock, causing debris to scatter away from you.
This hint will show up on your screen when you’re killed by an explosion, but it might be overlooked if you’re preoccupied. It’s also important to remember that falling rocks can crush Jin Dahaad, causing heavy damage. Be cautious not to use all the rocks before the blast attack occurs.
After mastering survival against Jin Dahaad’s explosive attack, the subsequent hurdle is defeating it. If you’re finding it tough, send up an SOS Signal or call in some allies to lend a hand in vanquishing this beast. For additional hunting advice, head over to our Monster Hunter Wilds topic page.
