How to Unlock Submerged Luxurious Chest in “People of the Springs”

As a seasoned traveler and avid adventurer of Teyvat, I’ve come across many a riddle hidden within its lush landscapes. The quest for the submerged Luxurious Chest southeast of “People of the Springs” is no exception!

In the picture before you, two treasure chests are hidden underwater within the surrounding island. Although you’re able to swim towards them, you cannot retrieve the chests. To drain the water and access the treasures, locate three mysterious creatures called Monetoo scattered throughout the island.

How to Unlock Submerged Luxurious Chest Southeast of “People of the Springs”

Monetoo #1

Initially, you’ll encounter Monetoo confined within a pen to the west of your designated marker, amidst hostile Natlan forces. Overcome these adversaries as they obstruct your path, and liberate the cage (since no key is required for this task). Once freed, guide yourself towards Monetoo until it halts at graffiti markings before the Luxurius Chest.

In simpler terms, the second Monetoo is located more towards the western side compared to the designated waypoint. Here, you’ll notice a wind flow carrying Monetoo along.

1. Retrieve the portable Grapple from its location and attach it to the box close by. Next, summon a Yumkausaurus to tug on the box so it’s caught in the breeze.

Once the wind current is blocked, the Monetoo is free and you can follow it to the graffiti.

Monetoo #3

The last Monetoo is hidden inside a pillar south of the waypoint with Hydro Slime blocking it. You need to defeat the Slimes first before the Monetoo can run away.

Once all 3 Monetoo is back, the water level will decrease and you can claim the chests.
