As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but marvel at the bustling, alive world that is Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. With the A-Life system at its core, the environment is a constant spectacle, teeming with conflict and change. At times, you’ll find yourself in the midst of rival factions locked in combat, offering players an opportunity to align themselves and potentially aid their chosen side from past encounters. Upon reaching the Fish Farm POI within the Zaton region, one such scenario unfolds, as two opposing gangs of marauders engage in a fierce firefight right before my eyes.
In this scenario, Zhenya Hulk along with his persistent followers will find themselves confined within a structure, pleading with Skif for a means of escape, thereby initiating the “Key to Freedom” side mission. Here’s an alternative way to unlock the Fish Farm door, regardless if the side quest has begun or not.
How to Open the Fish Farm Locked Door in Stalker 2
In the game ‘Stalker 2’, adventurers will discover the Fish Farm nestled within the Zaton region. Situated south of the SIRCAA Exterior Checkpoint and north of Sultansk Base, this location is easy to find. Upon reaching it, players will overhear heated discussions between two bands of adversaries engaged in a skirmish. The situation soon deteriorates as they exchange gunfire, with several Stalkers, including Zhenya Hulk, being taken hostage within the structure.
The main goal of the “Key to Freedom” side mission becomes active once you reach Fish Farm. To get started, promptly defeat all the adversaries involved in the firefight. This will allow you to begin your search for the Fish Farm’s hidden key that unlocks a locked door.
Getting the Key to the Fish Farm Locked Door
After dealing with all the bandits, search the fallen ones for a PDA, which should provide a clue about the hidden key being stored on the rooftop of the warehouse. Look for a ladder on the warehouse’s left side as you’ll need to climb it to reach the roof.
Ascend the ladder and you’ll discover a loft brimming with Electro abnormalities. Carefully traverse this zone and make your way to the opposite end where you’ll find a cache suspended on the very rim.
You’ll find the following items inside the stash on the roof of the Fish Farm warehouse.
- Adik Pedal’s Key
- AKM-74U Assault Rifle
- Coupled AKM-74 Magazines Attachment
- AKM Ammo
Unlocking the Door & Getting Rewards
After obtaining the key, navigate through the warehouse securely and unlock the door that leads to the Fish Farm. Depending on your timing, either Zhenya Hulk and his friends will be deceased or they’ll still be alive, offering Skif some coupons as a reward for completing the Key to Freedom mission in Stalker 2.
If they’ve perished, this situation proves beneficial because you can gather the Sunrise Suit armor from each of their corpses in the room. This armor can then be sold to a dealer for a more substantial coupon reward.
