HSN Waves Goodbye to 9 Hosts Amid Studio Relocation

The Home Shopping Network is saying goodbye to many longtime staples.

In a significant shift, HSN is planning to leave its long-standing headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL after almost 50 years, and instead, set up shop at the location currently occupied by sister network QVC in West Chester, PA. This change brings about the departure of nine HSN television hosts from their roles.

In a recent Facebook post on May 9th, HSN announced that over the next few months, they will be bidding farewell to Natasha Lloyd, Helen Keaney, Amy Morrison, Lynn Murphy, Marlo Smith, Valerie Stup, Rebecca Vargas, Michelle Yarn, and Guy Yovan. Additionally, they expressed their excitement for celebrating Bobbi Ray Carter’s retirement at the end of the year after a remarkable 42-year tenure!

However, among the numerous exits, the network assured that several well-known figures will stay on board, transitioning to their new location in Pennsylvania.

Moving forward to our grand opening at our studios in West Chester, PA, we’re delighted to share that Sarah Anderson, Debbie Denmon, Adam Freeman, Nicole Hickl, Tamara Hooks, Tina Jennings, Emily Lampa, Ty Mayberry, Callie Northagen, Suzanne Runyan, and Siaoming Wong will all remain with our HSN team. This means we’ll keep the valuable relationships we’ve built with our customers intact,” the post stated further.

Additionally, some fresh personalities are set to join our already skilled group of hosts, HSN mentioned. We can’t wait to present them to you in the near future!

The action, unveiled by the network back in January, is designed to enhance “social and streaming growth,” as stated by QVC Group, the umbrella organization for both QVC and HSN. The announcement made on May 9 reassured fans that HSN will persist and continue to serve them.

It’s great that you’re with us at HSN! As we mentioned earlier, our journey is taking a new direction, but rest assured, we’re still here. We’re excited to keep offering you unique products, engaging content, and memorable experiences.

Ellen Pompeo wrapped up her 19-year stint as Meredith Grey in the ABC drama, playing her role as a series regular for the final time in February 2023.

On The Drew Barrymore Show in December 2022, Pompeo expressed the need for change, stating, “I need to switch things up a bit.” At 53 years old, she explained that her mind is like scrambled eggs and needs something fresh. Just as one can’t solve the New York Times crossword puzzle every day, she feels the same about her work.

In simpler terms, the actor who played Superman in “Batman vs. Superman”, Henry Cavill, has decided to leave the Netflix fantasy series after its third season. Liam Hemsworth is set to take over as Geralt in season four and possibly future seasons as well.

When it was determined that season six would be the last, Ferrera reappeared for the series finale to provide Amy and Jonah (Ben Feldman) with a satisfying conclusion.

As a devoted follower, I recall vividly the gripping 2019 finale of “The Magicians” on Syfy, where my character, Quentin, embarked on a mission to rescue Eliot (Hale Appleman). Despite successfully completing the quest, Quentin made the ultimate sacrifice. Although this series often brings back deceased characters, I myself did not reappear for the fifth and final season.

Ahead of the final season, Arrow‘s Emily Bett Rickards announced her exit in a poem of sorts.

Felicity and I are incredibly close, but after the first week, we’ll have to part ways,” she wrote.

She did, however, return for a guest appearance in the show’s 2020 series finale.

In 2018, Lauren Cohan bid farewell to The Walking Dead after extended contract talks, appearing in only a few episodes of season nine. Cohan made a spectacular comeback in the 16th episode of this season, which aired in October 2020.

I, a die-hard fan here, can’t help but reminisce about the time Chelsea Peretti graced our screens as a cast member of Brooklyn Nine-Nine when it first premiered on NBC. However, she didn’t stay with us for the entire journey. In a heartfelt series of tweets back in 2018, this talented actress revealed her decision to bid adieu to the comedy, yet promised us she would return someday. Interestingly, she modeled her farewell message on the one sent by Emmy Rossum when she left Shameless. In her own words, Abby leaving was not just a television trick, but a significant move.

In 2018, it was revealed that Willa Holland, a key cast member on The CW’s Arrow, had been planning her departure from the show for some time.
