Hugh Jackman Weighs in on a Greatest Showman Sequel

As a die-hard fan of Hugh Jackman, I can hardly contain my excitement as I read the latest news about a potential sequel to “The Greatest Showman“! The thought of the talented and charismatic Hugh reprising his role as P.T. Barnum is enough to make my heart race with anticipation.

Could Hugh Jackman be ready to hit the big top once again?

As an obsessed fan, I can’t contain my excitement when I heard that the X-Men actor, who brought P.T. Barnum to life so brilliantly in The Greatest Showman next to Zendaya and Zac Efron, expressed his willingness for a sequel to this magnificent musical movie from 2017.

“Hugh revealed to TopMob News at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere on July 22 that the initial project took us eight years. We might have begun five years ago, and there are still nine more years to go.”

“You know what? That movie resonated deeply with me, and every aspect of it left a lasting impression. So yes, I’m open to revisiting it or discussing it further.”

Hugh’s friend and costar in “Deadpool” and “Wolverine,” Ryan Reynolds, is eager to revise the fate of the stars.

During the July 23 interview, Ryan playfully remarked, “Why are you so apprehensive about that? Let’s have a part two! My children are eagerly waiting for it.”

Despite this, Hugh remained hesitant to provide a definite response, jokingly commenting that “From now on, if I say ‘no’ or ‘yes’ or anything, no one seems to believe me anymore. I swore I would never play Wolverine again. So, whatever it is, I guess.”

Fortunate for fans, they can look forward to seeing Hugh portray Wolverine once again on the big screen since his emotional departure in “Logan” (2017). As an added bonus, they’ll also enjoy a song from “The Greatest Showman” featured in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which hits theaters July 26.

A 55-year-old filmmaker shared a humorous anecdote during an interview, explaining that his film contracts require him to include certain “Showman” tunes in his movies, no matter how unsuitable they may seem. Hugh Jackman Weighs in on a Greatest Showman Sequel

I’m thrilled to share that Hugh has once again slipped into the role of his beloved character, bringing a million dreams to life for Ryan and Blake Lively’s precious children. Our little ones, James, aged 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and baby Olin, born in 2023, have been treated to an extraordinary experience.

I can’t get enough of “The Greatest Showman” at our house! Every time I enter a room, I’m greeted by the soundtrack playing, and there’s my kids, completely immersed in the movie. They sing along passionately while Hugh, in his own enthusiasm, acts out each scene alongside them, just like a big kid.

The 47-year-old went on to express, “It was an incredibly moving and sad experience that I had ever encountered. Realizing I could never surpass it, I have begun anew in a foreign land, founding a hidden family, as if following societal norms.”

Certainly, Hugh ultimately got the final chuckle, commenting, “Oh, by the way, we actually purchased that rental property using your funds. The monthly payments you’ll be receiving are called residuals.”
