Today, Hulu has added 69 new titles to its streaming service. However, Hulu subscribers may find June 2025 a bit lackluster, unless they are enthusiasts of science fiction. If you’re a fan of sci-fi, you’ll be pleased to know there are several new movies to stream with a Hulu subscription, some of which are among the greatest science fiction films ever made. Unfortunately, Hulu doesn’t provide information about how long these movies will be available for streaming. For now, sci-fi fans on Hulu have plenty of fresh content to enjoy.
The best part about the latest science fiction films available on Hulu is undoubtedly the Alien saga, consisting of the original 1979’s Alien, followed by 1986’s Aliens. Additional installments in this collection include Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Alien: Covenant, Alien vs. Predator, Alien vs Predator: Requiem, and Prometheus. While the rest of the Alien movies may not be as impressive as the first two, they do fill out the entire series.
If you’re unfamiliar, the movie “Alien” is where the entire Alien series originated. It was released in 1979 and directed by Ridley Scott. Despite being made on a minimal budget, it raked in an impressive $188 million at the box office, kickstarting one of the most successful sci-fi franchises in entertainment. As you might expect, it received exceptionally high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, scoring 93/94.
1986’s “Aliens,” directed by James Cameron, serves as a sequel to the 1979 film “Alien.” Like its predecessor, it received exceptional praise, demonstrated by its perfect 94/94 score on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, it grossed an impressive $183 million at the box office.
I’ve got to say, the Alien series, with its gripping tales of space horror, stands tall as one of the greatest science fiction films ever made. To expand your viewing pleasure, Hulu has added an array of other sci-fi classics to their library. These include Edge of Tomorrow, Independence Day, Predator, The Predator, Predator 2, and Predators. For those who enjoy a bit of the unusual, there’s even Pride + Prejudice + Zombies, which brings a unique blend of science fiction and the classic novel.
Streaming both the entire Alien and Predator series on Hulu in June 2025 makes it an especially significant month for subscribers. Add a few more of the mentioned bonus content, and you’ve got one of the top months for sci-fi enthusiasts ever to grace Hulu.
