In the latest Developer Update video, CryEngine’s Principal Engine Programmer Scott Peter shares that over the past year, Crytek has put significant effort into leveraging advanced hardware capabilities. With the release of engine version 5.11, they have achieved creating their most captivating game world for Hunt: Showdown. This translates to enhanced graphics, performance boosts, upgraded audio, and additional features due in August. Furthermore, there are numerous new features under development for the future.
As a gamer excited about Hunt: Showdown, I can’t wait for the upcoming CryEngine 5.11 upgrade set to drop on August 15th for PC, Stadia, and next-gen consoles. However, this update marks the end of support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. Although it’s disappointing, Crytek is extending a generous hand by providing a free upgrade for current-gen console gamers like me who haven’t made the leap yet. Unfortunately, if you’re still holding on to your old systems, this means saying goodbye to Hunt: Showdown once the update goes live.
