The cover art for Volume 38 is a sight for sore eyes, and it looks like Gon’s up to something big!

The acclaimed manga, “Hunter x Hunter,” has unveiled the cover art for its Volume 38. A significant shift is underway in the issues of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, with several notable series approaching their conclusion and others reappearing after a prolonged absence. After a hiatus that extended into 2022, marking the longest gap in the series to date, Yoshihiro Togashi’s original work, “Hunter x Hunter,” is set to resume its publication. This development also implies that we can anticipate more chapters for this volume soon.

The upcoming Volume 38 of “Hunter x Hunter” is set to hit shelves across Japan starting September 4th, with a sneak peek coming before its resumption in Shonen Jump magazine. During today’s Jump Press live broadcast, the cover art for Volume 38 was unveiled, offering a fresh perspective on Gon Freecss, who hasn’t appeared actively in the manga for several years now. What’s Next for Hunter x Hunter?

During the Jump Press live broadcast, Shueisha has indicated that the popular manga “Hunter x Hunter” will resume publication in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine starting October 7th. The exact number of new chapters in this upcoming update is still unknown (since Togashi’s last resumption of work resulted in ten chapters before another break), but it has been confirmed that the release schedule for “Hunter x Hunter” will not adhere to a weekly format and instead follow its own rhythm. This was also hinted at by Shueisha prior to going on hiatus in 2022.

In 2022, when the series went on a break, Shueisha’s editorial team expressed gratitude for reading “Hunter x Hunter” and shared that due to discussions about Togashi’s health condition, they have decided to release future chapters of the manga in a format different from weekly serialization. Togashi-Sensei will continue writing new chapters, and the editorial department will offer ongoing support until the completion of the manga. Further details about the publication schedule and methods will be shared in upcoming issues of Weekly Shonen Jump. Thank you for your continued patronage of “Hunter x Hunter”.
