As a long-time fan of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment upon hearing the news that the Switch versions of Re;Birth1, Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation, Re;Birth3: V Generation, and Death end re;Quest: Code Z will not be gracing our western shelves.
The Western release of the Switch versions for games like “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1“, “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation“, “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation“, and “Death end re;Quest: Code Z” has been cancelled, as their content doesn’t meet Nintendo’s publication standards, as stated by the publisher, Idea Factory International.
On May 23rd, the game titled “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth” made its debut in Japan, available both physically and digitally on the Nintendo Switch. Initially, a Western release was scheduled for May 21st, however, it has been postponed indefinitely.
The game titled “Death end re;Quest Code Z” was released on September 19, 2021, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Japan. Idea Factory International confirmed that the Western release of the PS5 and PS4 versions, initially scheduled for 2025, will proceed as originally planned.
