Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy for PS4 launches this fall in the west

This autumn, the physical and digital editions of PlayStation 4 games – “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 +”, “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation”, and “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation” – will be released in North America and Europe, as confirmed by the publisher Idea Factory International.

Re;Birth1 Plus, is an upgraded adaptation of the original Re;Birth1 Neptunia, initially launched for PlayStation 4 on May 31, 2018 in Japan. Despite never seeing a western release, the global launch of its enhanced version, titled Neptunia ReVerse for PlayStation 5, followed suit.

On May 23, 2024, both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation” and “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation” were launched in Japan. Additionally, a Nintendo Switch port of “Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1” was also made available on the same day.

The initial plan for the western release of the Switch versions of a trilogy has been scrapped, but eastasiasoft intends to roll out these Switch versions of _Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1_ and _Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation_ in Asia this summer, with English language support included.

Story

In the realm of Gamindustri, four deities, or Goddesses, were in constant conflict for dominance during the War of the Guardians. One of these deities, Neptune, was overpowered and exiled from heaven. With her status diminished, Neptune’s memories vanished, but a mystical book surfaced to enlighten her about Gamindustri’s entire history. Accompanied by Compa, IF, and the intelligent book called Histoire, Neptune embarks on an extraordinary odyssey through four distinct lands in pursuit of saving the entire world!

Story

20XX: The video game world of Gamindustri is in turmoil! Following the rise of ASIC – Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime – immorality has become rampant. It’s said that over 80% of students now worship a being called Arfoire, yet the authorities seem to be ignoring this dangerous trend. To put it simply, Gamindustri is in a state of chaos and decay. In essence, the situation has spiraled out of control.

Can the Goddesses manage to regain control over their world from the grip of ASIC, or will they find themselves indefinitely trapped within the Gamindustri Graveyard?

Story

In 1989-style, it’s time for us to embark on a Nep-Nep adventure! Unfortunately, Neptune has been trapped in an alternate dimension called Gamindustri. To find her way back home, she needs to amass enough shares that will lead her to the exit of this ’80s world. However, things aren’t as simple as they seem because a wicked group known as the Seven Sages aims to eliminate all CPUs (Goddesses) from Gamindustri, starting with Neptune herself!

Will Neptune manage to forge bonds with beings from other dimensions, can she outwit the Seven Sages, rescue this parallel universe, and return to her own, or will she remain trapped in the ’80s for eternity?
