As a seasoned Stalker, I’ve tread through the treacherous expanse of the Zone more times than I care to remember. The haunting beauty and relentless danger have become an integral part of my existence. The latest addition to this post-apocalyptic world, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, has proven no exception.
Tickets, please.
In STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players will navigate their way through the harsh and eerie landscape known as the Zone, which requires dealing with threats and strategically using resources such as weapons, protective gear, food, medical supplies, and other essential items to ensure survival.
In this game, you can gather a decent amount of items from defeated enemies, which is essentially your main source of loot. However, if you aim for more advanced equipment, trading becomes necessary. If you don’t possess any tradeable items, you’ll need to utilize the game’s currency, known as Tickets.
As a tech-savvy individual, I’ve mastered the art of managing finances effectively in STALKER 2 to prevent an early depletion of funds. Here’s a simple guide on how to earn cash and trade within the game:
STALKER 2: How to trade
Technically, it’s possible for you to trade with almost anyone.
In many cases (and often most), the friendly survivors you meet can engage in trade by conversing with them. However, their items may be quite limited, so unless it’s an emergency need for a bandage or water, it’s generally wiser to hold off until you find a proper trader at a camp or outpost. Initially, this might involve seeking out ‘Hamster’ in ‘Zalissya’.
When engaging in trading activities, you’ll encounter a display similar to the one depicted, which shows your stockpile and funds (your money) along with items a trader is offering. You can assess what you’re prepared to part with versus what (if anything) you’re trying to acquire. If you’ve obtained some weapons or equipment that you won’t need, selling them is an effective method to lower the cost of something you wish to buy. Naturally, if your funds fall short, you won’t be able to finalize a deal.
It’s also extremely important to note that traders won’t take any gear off your hands that has fallen to red durability, so don’t just pick everything up that you see! You can repair equipment in order to then sell it, but because repairing costs Tickets, it’s usually not going to be worth the effort unless you’re selling something extremely rare and valuable.
STALKER 2: How to earn money
In STALKER 2, the most profitable approach to earning money involves finishing the primary storyline, ideally spending a few hours on it. This journey requires overcoming numerous challenges and hardships, but your efforts are rewarded generously with a substantial number of Tickets upon mission completion.
In addition to the primary mission, consider selling any items that you aren’t currently utilizing in STALKER 2. While it may seem beneficial to keep everything as a backup, the game’s heavy weight system suggests it’s more advantageous to let go of weapons you aren’t actively carrying. Make sure to thoroughly search for loot, but then sell unnecessary items to accumulate Tickets quickly.
The video game “STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl” is now accessible on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC platforms (through Steam, the Xbox App, and the Epic Games Store). Notably, it can also be found in the libraries of both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and PC Game Pass members.
