Additionally, the screen brightness is maintained at around 200 nits during this period.
After setting up the JSAUX 65Whr battery, I found that the device ran for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, representing a runtime increase of around 120% compared to its previous performance.
I chose to test how enduring the handheld device would be when the Ally display’s brightness was reduced to zero percent, RGB illumination was deactivated, the system was configured to its minimum TDP (10W for Ally, 13W for Ally X), and while running a game with less graphical complexity.
In the course of this examination, I utilized Minecraft Java Edition, which is the only edition I possess; unfortunately, it does not allow for controller usage, so I employed a combined mouse and keyboard setup instead.

Using under two hours of battery life while playing graphics-heavy games at 25W might not be perfect, but it’s certainly more efficient compared to the battery life you would get from a fresh Ally device.
Plus, upgrading your current Ally battery is cheaper than buying an Ally X.
As a researcher, I noticed that unlike the original backing with its textured grip areas, the new one from JSAUX is smoother to touch.
In my opinion, the newly-installed casing on the ROG Ally makes it feel overly slippery for my liking. I’ve thought about enhancing its grip with textured stickers or perhaps even an ROG Ally grip accessory, assuming I can find one that fits perfectly.
To ensure a snug fit with the new battery, the substitute back casing supplied by JSAUX is approximately 1mm larger in thickness compared to the original one.
This doesn’t look like a huge difference and doesn’t make the Ally that much thicker, either.
Although some snug-fitting protective cases designed for ROG Ally, such as the dBrand Killswitch, may not be compatible with your device following an update, it’s essential to keep this in mind before proceeding.
