Ice Spice Slams Speculation She’s Using Ozempic After Weight Loss

As a healthcare professional and a fellow human being who has had my own struggles with body image and weight management, I deeply empathize with these individuals. It’s heartening to see how open they are about their personal battles, as it encourages others to seek help when needed and destigmatizes these issues.

Ice Spice wants to put the truth on the radar.

In more casual terms, “The ‘Deli’ artist has spoken up about the speculations surrounding her weight, dismissing claims that she’s taking Ozempic, a medicine often used for Type 2 diabetes management and weight loss.”

She expressed in a recent conversation on X Spaces something along these lines: “I would be happier if I hadn’t come across the term ‘Ozempic’, it’s just one thing I wish I didn’t know about.” Translating further, she seemed puzzled and exclaimed, “Goodness gracious, what on earth is Ozempic? What in the world is that? Honestly, can someone please explain to me, what is that?”

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but express my thoughts while witnessing the 24-year-old superstar, in the throes of her electrifying Y2K! tour. She passionately stated, “You know, some of you ladies seem to be neglecting the gym! It’s simply called exercise, balanced diet, and yes, even when on tour! I mean, really? If I were lounging at home all day, perhaps it would be more effortless to maintain a larger size.”

Caught up in a whirlwind of global tours following the launch of my maiden album, this New Yorker can’t help but reflect on the dramatic shifts in my life under the limelight.

She shared with Billboard in early August that she’s been experiencing a range of emotions: from anxious to peaceful, excited, and relieved. Mostly, she’s just incredibly grateful, but I believe it all comes down to the fact that she’s headlining her own show for the first time.

In her career, she began performing at European festivals, but now it’s her own audience that she plays to. This shift has given rise to a unique atmosphere that she is thankful for. For over a year, she had longed for this opportunity, and finally, it’s come true – a moment she feels particularly proud of.

And since she’s focused on the success of her tour, there’s not much else that truly matters.

1. She remarked, “That’s a victory for the project.” She continued, “It’s insane that we can share it live with the audience while it unfolds!”

As a devoted follower, I’m not alone in my stance on the celebrity weight loss trend – many others have shared their thoughts too. Keep reading to discover more stars who’ve weighed in on this topic.

In an interview with Page Six in April 2024, a former star of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” revealed that he shed 32 pounds over a span of just two months by using semaglutide injections, which is similar to the branded drug Ozempic.

“You know what’s annoying?” he said. “The regret of not starting it 10 years ago.”

As a dedicated lifestyle aficionado, I’m thrilled to share a personal update from the beloved Pioneer Woman herself. In the heart of March 2024, she gracefully disclosed on her blog that her remarkable 50-pound weight loss achieved in 2022 was strictly the result of natural efforts and lifestyle changes, not due to any Ozempic or similar medications. Her inspiring journey serves as a testament to the power of determination, discipline, and a well-balanced approach to health and wellness.

She stated, “However, I’ll never pass judgment for a moment on individuals who make that choice!”

By August 2023, the former star of “30 Rock” shared during an interview on “Today With Hoda and Jenna” that he had shed some pounds by using Ozempic, as it helped reduce his hunger.

In March of 2024, it seemed like his health journey took an unexpected twist. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he stated, “I’ve mastered the art of consuming more than Ozempic,” resulting in a weight increase of 40 pounds.

Towards the end of that month, he explained to TopMob News that his previous statement was a joke. He also mentioned, “Ozempic worked wonderfully for me, and I was pleased to utilize it.”

In an open conversation, the cast member from “The Real Housewives of Dubai” discussed her decision to use Ozempic following a personal struggle, which she described as a midlife crisis, occurring at the age of 45.

In the May 22 episode of her podcast “Uncut & Uncensored With Caroline Stanbury,” she stated that after turning 40, losing weight becomes incredibly challenging. However, she’s encountered numerous women in their forties asking her how she managed it, and she admits that she used Ozempic, a tool she believes is highly effective if one can utilize it.

As a lifestyle aficionado, let me share a recent revelation from one of the Real Housewives of New Jersey: during a lively chat on Watch What Happens Live in July 2024, she playfully clarified, “Contrary to some speculation, I’m not taking Ozempic. Instead, I’ve found myself on Mounjaro, and I must admit, I’m thrilled with the results! My energy levels are through the roof, if you couldn’t tell.”

A former star on The Real Housewives of Atlanta disclosed her unsuccessful effort to shed pounds using an injectable treatment.

In her conversation from June 2024, she mentioned that the diet didn’t have any impact on her appetite. She went on to explain that while some individuals may find themselves unable to eat, this was far from her experience – she indulged in appetizers, a main course, and dessert without any issues. Sharing her feelings, she expressed that when a particular approach works for others but not for herself, it can lead to disappointment or self-doubt. Specifically, she feels like asking, “What’s wrong with me? Why isn’t this working for me?”

During her conversation with Fox News Digital, she mentioned, “I’m not qualified to discuss this medically, but I can tell you there’s a wealth of information available on what works and what doesn’t. In my opinion, Ozempic offers some significant advantages, yet it also carries potential risks.”

In 2017, after giving birth to her son Beau, the character from Beverly Hills, 90210 opted for a weight loss aid.

She mentioned during her podcast in April 2024 that Ozempic didn’t help her, but Mounjaro did. With Mounjaro, she managed to shed some pounds.

She emphasized to Francesca Amiker from TopMob News that it’s crucial to recognize that specific medications are designed for particular individuals, and it should not be disregarded simply for the sake of personal vanity or extravagance.

Raven went on to say, “Carry on, but remember to keep the medicine for those who truly require it.”

In September 2023, the presenter of Talk U.K. shared that she had lost a total of 42 pounds by taking Ozempic during the earlier part of the year.

She confidentially shared with TopMob News that the decision is entirely yours to make. And if you’ve opted for something to aid in weight loss, rest assured it’s nothing to be ashamed of, as it’s completely acceptable.

She added, “We don’t have to bulls–t.”

Sharon’s daughter has also weighed in on the Ozempic trend.

In an interview with TopMob News in January 2024, the former Fashion Police member expressed her excitement by saying, “I find it incredible! There are countless methods for shedding pounds, so why not opt for a less monotonous approach like avoiding exercise?”

The actress famed for her role in the Titanic movie, who had previously been a subject of media scrutiny regarding her weight, expressed her thoughts on the current weight loss craze.

In a recent interview with The New York Times Magazine, published on March 3, Kate openly stated, “To be honest, I’m not sure what Ozempic is. I only know that it’s a medication of some sort that people seem to be using.”

“Oh, my God,” Kate remarked after learning about the drug. “This sounds terrible.”

In the spirit of honesty and dedication, let me share that by December 2023, I myself had managed to shed a remarkable 22 pounds without relying on Ozempic. For me, life isn’t about shortcuts; if someone is choosing those, well, I can’t help but question it. When asked about certain celebrities utilizing this drug by Page Six, I chose not to name names or engage in gossip. It’s simply not a path I would ever choose to walk.

As a devoted follower, I express a preference for something sustainable. Moreover, I am keen on something that demands effort and dedication.

During her June 8, 2023 episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” the star of Trainwreck didn’t mince words when she publicly criticized celebrities for not being truthful about their use of Ozempic as a weight loss aid.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed an intriguing trend that seems to be sweeping across many circles – the Ozempic craze. Frankly, it feels like everyone and their barista is hopping on this bandwagon. It’s become tiresome when people claim they’re eating smaller portions, as if that’s the reason for their transformation. Let’s get real here: If you’re taking Ozempic or another similar medication, or perhaps you’ve had a nip-tuck, just own it and move on. Enough with the facade.

Speaking candidly as a lifestyle advisor, I firmly believe in embracing authenticity and transparency. Just as I’ve openly discussed my personal health journey, including past medical procedures like liposuction, I strongly encourage everyone to do the same when they undergo similar experiences. Honesty builds trust, fosters understanding, and ultimately empowers us all to make informed choices about our well-being.

She confessed to developing a quick interest in Ozempic in the year 2022, yet clarified that it was challenging for her to use the Type 2 diabetes medication because it restricted her from spending time with her 5-year-old son named Gene.

“Schumer reminisced about a time when she herself was unwell to the point of not being able to play with her son. She was extremely thin during that period, and even as he tossed a ball in her direction, she found it difficult to participate.”

Dr. Drew shared with TopMob News at Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season two event in Los Angeles on Sept. 12, 2023, that there is a blend of intrigue and reservation among people regarding interventions like these. “They find it fascinating,” he explained, “but at the same time, they harbor some peculiar doubts.”

He added, “Should there be a treatment option that proves beneficial, let’s certainly encourage people to consider it.”

Forget winter, a hot take is coming.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always keeping an eye on health trends and their marketing strategies. Just like the Game of Thrones alum, I too am unafraid to voice my thoughts, especially when it comes to discussing Ozempic and its advertising campaigns.

In a recent Instagram Story post on April 5, 2023, I shared a tweet from lifestyle writer Sophie Vershbow expressing her disdain for the Ozempic ads that are everywhere in the Times Square subway station. These ads suggest that with just one shot or a weekly injection, you can lose weight. Frankly, I find these ads to be quite annoying and misleading. It’s important to remember that sustainable weight loss comes from a combination of healthy eating habits, regular exercise, and a balanced lifestyle – not a quick-fix solution like Ozempic.

Turner adding her own commentary, writing, “WTF.”

Previously, Novo Nordisk informed us at TopMob News that Ozempic has not received approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) specifically for long-term weight management purposes.

Although it’s possible that certain medical professionals might prescribe Ozempic for weight loss purposes, Novo Nordisk does not endorse, recommend, or encourage the use of our medications beyond their approved uses. We strictly adhere to all U.S. laws and regulations when marketing our products. As always, we believe healthcare providers are assessing each patient’s unique needs to decide which treatment is most suitable for them.

For the comedian, Ozempic isn’t a joking issue; it turns out that her “doctor focusing on anti-aging” had prescribed the treatment without her fully understanding its nature.

During the January 25th, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy, I found myself in an unexpected situation. I exclaimed, “I hadn’t realized it before, but here I am!” She then shared a tip, “If you’re seeking a way to shed about five pounds, this method could be beneficial.”

But while she tried the drug, Handler noted that she didn’t like how it made her feel.

She reminisced about returning from her holiday and administering it to herself. A few days later, she met a friend for lunch, who mentioned, “I’m not really eating; I’m feeling incredibly nauseous, I’m on Ozempic.” To which she replied, “I too have been feeling a bit queasy.” However, she had just returned from Spain and was still experiencing jet lag.

In the end, Handler chose to no longer take the medication as it wasn’t essential for her health. Furthermore, she generously donated any leftover doses to her friends.

She mentioned, “I’ve given approximately four to five of my friends Ozempic, as I found it unnecessary. It’s primarily prescribed for heavier individuals. When friends visit me, I say something like, ‘I’ll see you at 1 o’clock, I’ll see you at 2 o’clock.'”

KoKo clapped back when commenters on Instagram speculated that she was taking Ozempic.

In a post from January 2023, Kardashian stated, “Please don’t underestimate my years of dedication to fitness.” She added that she wakes up five mornings a week at 6am for workouts. She kindly asked everyone to stop making assumptions about her routine. It seems like the start of a new year hasn’t changed some individuals’ behavior.

Apart from disclosing his temporary usage of Mounjaro in January 2023, Dubrow also shared that he was experimenting with the weight-loss drug to understand its impact on the human body.

The Botched star expressed that they found it incredible. They mentioned that they didn’t have a significant amount of weight to shed, but they were curious because numerous patients of theirs were using it and wanted to experience the effects for themselves, especially since they weren’t diabetic and only needed to lose 10-15 pounds.

Despite not revealing the exact amount of weight he shed or the duration of his medication use, Dr. Dubrow has affirmed that he is now off the medication.

He shared that his decision to stop the medication was because he felt a longing to regain his hunger again. Additionally, he mentioned that he had been experiencing a mild feeling of sickness in his stomach.

A “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member openly addressed speculation that she had started using a particular medication, following observations by her social media followers regarding her weight loss in the previous year.

1. On January 5, 2023, Richard responded to one user under an Instagram post showing herself and her friends following a workout, stating, “I’m definitely not using Ozempic.” In a subsequent reply, she clarified, “I’ve never used it.” (Informal)

In response to the rumors, the Bravo star once again dismissed them, making it clear in a January 16th Instagram post via Page Six that she is not using the specified medication.

After fans questioned whether or not she was taking Ozempic, Jessica set the record straight.

In an interview published on July 6, 2023, she said to Bustle, “Indeed, it’s not the medication [Ozempic], but self-control that has been helping me. People might wonder if they want me to start drinking again, as I was heavier when I did. Or perhaps they wish for me to have another baby, yet my body is unable.”

Nassif echoed his Botched costar in giving the drug two thumbs up.

He shared with TopMob News on February 1 that he has no issues with others using Ozempic, and even praised his friends who use it. They all seem healthier, their blood sugar and blood pressure levels improved, and this could potentially contribute to a longer lifespan – but only if used correctly.

As a follower keen on exploring health advancements, I’ve recently discovered some intriguing insights about Ozempic. Beyond its known role in weight management, it seems there might be potential applications for anti-aging treatments. Dr. Nassif shared this perspective, hinting at promising developments as we delve deeper into the world of semaglutides and related products.

This Shah isn’t shy about her Ozempic use.

In the spirit of transparency and solidarity with those who might be going through similar experiences, I, as a dedicated follower, wouldn’t feel compelled to conceal my use of medication when discussing my health journey. I chose to openly share my story with Entertainment Tonight in May 2023, believing that it could offer encouragement and valuable insights to those who wish to embark on the same path or simply want to understand more about my experiences.

The “Shahs of Sunset” star credited her 30-pound weight loss to Semaglutide, stating, “It’s clear I didn’t look this way just two months ago. To claim otherwise and say I stopped drinking alcohol or suddenly started working out intensely would be dishonest.”

Later on, Gharachedaghi mentioned that she was still feeling peckish, expressing it as, “Truthfully, I feel quite hungry right now. Let me step aside for a moment to have a quick puff of cannabis, and then I’ll certainly be having something to eat.”

The influencer said that using Ozempic to treat her type 2 diabetes negatively affected her overall health.

On the January 12, 2023 edition of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Bader reminisced, “It was completely new, having just received FDA approval, and it was unknown to everyone. I was filled with fear.” They told me it was necessary, and I had a multitude of conflicting emotions about it.

Following her detoxification from the drug, Bader – known for her honesty regarding her struggle with compulsive overeating – admitted that it led to a vicious cycle of excessive eating.

She shared that she consulted a physician who attributed her situation entirely to the use of Ozempic. This medication had made her feel as though she wasn’t hungry for an extended period, leading to weight loss. However, she didn’t want to continue using it long-term due to fear of addiction. When she stopped taking it, her hunger returned intensely, and her binge eating worsened significantly. As a result, she began to link her predicament with Ozempic.

Instead of losing weight for the wedding, it turns out that a cast member from The Real Housewives of New Jersey had been using Ozempic ahead of the season 13 reunion to help with weight loss.

On the April 4, 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Catania openly disclosed that she had been using an antidiabetic medication. She revealed this step because she didn’t wish to appear larger than her peers during taping, stating, “I hopped on the bandwagon.”

The renowned tennis player, known for her candidness about battling eating disorders, has shown hesitation towards using diabetes medication exclusively for the purpose of losing weight.

In the April 2024 edition of the Lemonada Media’s Wiser Than Me podcast, I excitedly revealed my fascination with a novel treatment – Ozempics. My healthcare provider suggested I give it a go, and I find myself intrigued by this innovative option. However, let me clarify that I’m not aiming to shed pounds rapidly. In fact, I believe rapid weight loss is appalling and question its health benefits.

However, she noted that she has “taken a few injections”

In March 2022, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s daughter initially disclosed her decision to use a diabetes medication after revealing her Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis.

She mentioned on Instagram earlier that she needed to exhibit 2 out of 5 characteristics for a correct PCOS diagnosis, but she had 4. During her consultation with her endocrinologist, it was suggested that this might have played a role in her weight problems. As a result, they decided to prescribe medication to help regulate her body and maintain health as she ages, also providing tools for continued self-care.

Gracie shared an update about her health progress in a blog post dated June 5th, responding to a comment regarding the speculation over her taking Type 2 diabetes medication.

She confirmed that she had taken Ozempic the previous year and is currently on a small dosage of Mounjaro for her PCOS, in addition to exercising. There’s no reason to assume otherwise since she has been transparent about this matter.
