Ice-T's 9-Year-Old Daughter Chanel Is His Carbon Copy

When it comes to her family, Coco Austin is seeing double.

Without a doubt, when she gazes at her husband Ice-T and her daughter Chanel, it’s clear how much their 9-year-old daughter seems to have inherited her father’s features. It’s as if the star of Law & Order: SVU suspects that she’s been secretly mimicking him and learning from his example.

At a certain moment, as shared by Ice-T on X (formerly Twitter) on January 19, he expressed that one comes to understand there’s always someone observing your every action closely.

Comparing the two together highlights their strong likeness, but it’s worth noting that Ice-T, who is a father to adult daughters LaTesha (48) and Tracy Jr. (33) from past relationships, has previously shared that his youngest child isn’t overly fond of being likened to him in this manner.

In a conversation with Today in 2023, he shared that she might find it somewhat annoying when people compare her appearance to her father rather than her mother. However, upon examining old photos of Coco, one can spot some resemblance between them.

Instead, he desires that his 66-year-old daughter can forge her unique life journey, avoiding any resemblance that may draw attention to him as her parent.

“I wouldn’t want her to keep looking like her dad,” he continued. “She’s finding herself.”

However, as Chanel journeys through self-exploration, her parents have emphasized their unwavering affection and encouragement. Yet, they find it hard to fathom the speed at which she’s maturing.

9 years ago on this day, Coco posted an Instagram tribute to celebrate her daughter’s birthday. She expressed that her daughter is the most beautiful spirit she has ever known, describing her as not only a cherished friend but also the brightest ray of sunshine in her life.

Her gentleness might deceive you, but she’s got a charismatic, unpredictable side too. Her smile can transform even the gloomiest day. ‘Happy Birthday to my sweet, spirited free soul @babychanelnicole. I adore you deeply, in every fiber of my being.’

Regardless of the challenges they faced, Coco and Ice-T imparted wisdom on their daughter about choosing the noble path, including times when she encountered difficulties with school bullies.

In an interview with TopMob News in December 2023, Coco shared that her first encounter with bullying occurred back in kindergarten. A classmate would often tease her, and when she returned home, she would express displeasure towards this girl, saying, “Mommy, I don’t like her; she’s unkind to me.

As I encountered this woman,” he went on, “I treated her with extraordinary warmth. This shifted her view of me entirely, and it’s likely that she discussed our encounter with her daughter, because Chanel had no issues with me for the remainder of the school year.
