You can either employ the Trial Characters provided or create your own characters if they are superior to the Trial Characters and have stronger constellations. The following are the Opening Characters in version 5.0:

Imaginarium Theater Season 3 Guide

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

Here’s a suggestion for rephrasing your text:

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

This is an example of a Brilliant Blessing event. You can use 60 Fantasia Flowers to upgrade a reaction. Don’t underestimate it because these reactions will save your day, especially against bosses!

Act 1 – 3 | Perpetual Mechanical Array

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In Acts 1 and 2, you’ll receive 6 initial Characters. For now, pick one of these characters to specialize (or upgrade). This specialized character will lead your team when battling bosses! To boost this character, select the ‘Brilliant Blessing’ event. If you don’t have a ‘Brilliant Blessing’ event, you can refresh the events on the bottom right corner. After that, choose a ‘Companion Event’ for some of your characters.

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

After upgrading your abilities and selecting characters, Opt for a Battle. In the third season of Imaginarium Theater, acquiring the Star becomes simpler as it’s primarily a time-based challenge, rather than needing to meet specific conditions such as defeating an enemy twice with Charged ATK. Please note that the Star is more for showcasing your skills and doesn’t impact the rewards.

In the actual fights, it would be strategic to hold off using your top-tier characters (the ones you’ve been enhancing) for the initial boss battle, and utilize other characters initially instead. For instance, if you’ve enhanced the Vaporize reaction, ensure that your Primary Damage Dealer and Supporter have at least 1 Vitality to engage in the boss fight (such as Mualani and Xiangling). During Act 1 and 2 battles, consider using other teams and reactions like Burning.

1Select a reaction you want to be using the most when facing bosses
(Vaporize / Burning / Bloom) – Vaporize is the most recommended against the Perpetual Array boss.
Upgrade said reactions when you have the events.
2Spend the remaining Fantasia Flowers on Companion event so you’ll more characters in the roster.
3Save the Main DPS and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 3

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

For Act 3, here’s a shorthand of what you can expect: Perpetual Mechanical Array (PMA) will be at your service, acting as your main DPS (Direct Damage System) and backup. The upgrades you made are saved under Vaporize reaction, which is generally helpful in battle. However, Mualini and Xiangling’s approach would have been sufficient, since the buffs they provide are quite nice and useful in combat situations.

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

During the battle with your boss, there’s ample opportunity to strike because it pauses for several seconds before it begins attacking. Once it starts, you’ll find dodging its attacks quite manageable. Continue launching attacks relentlessly until its health drops below half to initiate the second phase of the battle.

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In phase two, as the Defensive Sentinel (Scout), you will be placed on high alert, ready to stand guard against any potential attacks from the boss. The Sentinels – Defender, Destroyer, Cruiser, and yourself – are on constant standby, ready to intercept any attack that is headed towards the big boss. The highlighted Sentinel is your target: aim for it, get as close to the boss as possible! However, once the highlighted Sentinel is defeated, the big boss will be temporarily incapacitated and all resistance will drop drastically. This gives you a chance to use all your skills and abilities to their fullest. When the boss recovers from its paralyzed state, it’s only a matter of seconds before it’s back to its normal self again, ready for action once more. But ideally, you should be able to finish off the boss before it gets up on its feet again!

Act 4 – 6 | Maguu Kenki Trio

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In Act 4 and Act 5, it’s time to strategize for the upcoming boss battle in Act 6, where you’ll encounter three Maguu Kenki. It would be advantageous to have a character with Area of Effect Damage Per Second (DPS) for this fight. To achieve this, participate in Companion events until you acquire a Main DPS that fits your needs. Additionally, feel free to upgrade other skills as necessary. I suggest focusing on upgrading the Bloom reaction for effective Area of Effect damage against the multiple bosses in Act 6.

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide
Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In Act 4, there’s only a battle similar to the Monolith Defense in Spiral Abyss. I wanted to give you a heads-up: it’s not advisable to bring a Bloom team because most enemies will cluster around the Monolith, and when Bloom is triggered close to them, it will also drain the Monolith’s HP. Since the Special Guest includes Kazuha, if you have him, please consider using him in this Act as he simplifies things significantly. If you don’t possess Kazuha, opt for battles with fewer opponents (preferably 1-3 enemies per wave instead of 5) to make it easier to defend the Monolith by taking down the enemies one at a time.

1Choose Companion event until you have that one Main DPS for boss battle Maguu Kenki.
2If you already have the DPS you want, spend Fantasia Flowers for either more characters or upgrade other reactions you want. Personally, I recommend Bloom reaction for AoE DMG in the boss battle.
3Save the Main DPS and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 6

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In Act 6, during the boss fight, you’ll encounter three Maguu Kenki. I suggested earlier that it would be beneficial to use a Bloom team in this instance due to the area-of-effect explosion from the Dendro Cores. However, feel free to utilize other reactions if preferred. Just ensure your team can endure the entire battle and stay within the time limit as well.

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In order to make the advice as clear, concise, and easily understood, I suggest rephrasing it in this manner:

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

When one of the Maguu Kenki prepares to unleash their ‘Ultimate’ assault, you can activate your Elemental Burst as a means to dodge or “pass through” the attack, thus saving some time and boosting your self-assurance if you’re not particularly skilled at dodging.

Act 7 – 8 | Primordial Bathysmal Vishap

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

Here’s a suggestion on how you could rephrase the instructions:

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

Beyond that suggestion, it’s also advisable to enhance or improve the Burning reaction (if you haven’t done so already), as this reaction is particularly effective against the Primordial Vishap. As for the battle itself, it follows standard combat rules and doesn’t involve any unique mechanics, so feel free to select a battle that best suits your current team composition.

1Select Companion event to get at least 1 Dendro character.
2Upgrade Burning reaction as it’s the best one for the boss battle in Act 8. Bloom reaction is also okay if you already upgraded it and you can save more Fantasia Flowers for better characters.
3Save the Main DPS and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 8.

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In the context of Act 8 in the animated series “Boss Battle,” the character Hydro Shield (Hydra) initially appears as a strong, formidable opponent. However, later on in the story, he becomes more like Dendro (Darling), a character with a clean and unassuming name: Cleansing Shower. In essence, Hydro Shield is similar to other characters, but his unique selling point lies in his ability to “deplete” your Elemental Energy, making it seem easy to stagger. Here’s how you could rephrase it:

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

As soon as the fight initiates, the objective becomes continuously attacking until the enemy constructs a Hydro barrier. Once the barrier is in place, promptly switch to your Dendro character and repeatedly use Dendro abilities to break down the barrier. It seems that the Hydro barrier is generated when its health falls below 50%.

Act 9 – 10 | Iniquitous Baptist

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In Act 9, concentrate on assembling an optimal team for Act 10. This is necessary because the final stage boss, Iniquitous Baptist, can generate three types of elemental shields: Electro > Pyro > Hydro. It would be beneficial to have a Dendro character in your team since this element effectively counters both Electro and Hydro shields. Additionally, include a Hydro character for the Pyro shield. In essence, you should aim for a combination of Main DPS, Dendro, Hydro, and any other character.

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

After establishing a team for Act 10, feel free to utilize the leftover character to assemble a new team in Act 9. If there’s not a strong chemistry within the remaining characters, consider participating in the Companion event for potential better character acquisitions. If you already have enough characters, employ the extra Fantasia Flowers for boosts instead.

1Create the team for Act 10 beforehand. Then, use the leftover characters for Act 9.
2If you don’t have the right DPS for Act 9, use Companion event to try and get a better character.
3Once you have the right Main DPS (and team) for both Act 9 and 10, use the remaining Fantasia Flowers on Blessing event to upgrade reactions that you want to focus on in Act 10 (if said reaction is not at Level 4 yet).

Imaginarium Theater 5.0 Guide

In Act 10’s final battle, you’ll encounter the shield-wielding boss, the Iniquitous Baptist. From the get-go, this boss will erect a protective shield. After you demolish that initial shield, another one will follow shortly after. The sequence for the elemental shield is Electro, Pyro, Hydro. With the shield in place, the boss sustains minimal damage, so it’s crucial to destroy the shield promptly.
