As a seasoned adventurer with countless battles under my belt, I can’t help but share some strategies that have served me well during my journey through Imaginarium Theater’s Act 9 and 10.
The new fourth season of the Imaginarium Theater has arrived, debuting during the second stage of version 5.0. In this year’s production guidelines, only Pyro, Electro, Geo characters, along with Special Guest Stars, are eligible to participate in this season’s play. Here is a rundown on which characters to select and what events to pick for the Imaginarium Theater contest.
Elements for Imaginarium Theater Version 5.0
For Season 3 of Imaginarium Theater, the featured characters will be Fire (Pyro), Electricity (Electro), and Earth (Geo). It’s important to note that only characters with these specific elements can be brought in, except for Special Guests. The interactions you might observe among these characters could be:
Fantastical Blessings for Imaginarium Theater V5.0
Once you’ve opened the Imaginarium Theater, a special blessing called Fantastical Fortune will renew every season. This blessing provides boosts for the initial characters, which are effective not only during Imaginarium Theater contests but also in your journeys beyond the theater. Just a heads up: Only the specified characters will receive these boosts!
After the above characters (Dehya, Chevreuse, Keqing, Fischl, Chiori, and Ningguang) join your party, Max HP, ATK, and DEF are increased by 20% |
Opening Characters and Special Guests
In the Imaginarium Theater, the initial characters you receive when starting are known as the Starting Characters. You can opt to use the Predefined Characters provided or create your own that surpass them in quality and have superior constellations. The Starting Characters for version 5.0 are:
Special Characters refer to units that can accompany your team in the roster, but may not adhere to the Elemental conditions set for a specific season. However, there are no trial characters available for Special Guest Stars! If you don’t possess the required character or haven’t reached the necessary level, you won’t be able to utilize them. The following Special Guest Stars are:
Recommended Characters for Imaginarium Theater 5.0
Difficulty | Required Number of Characters |
---|---|
Easy | Minimum: 8 Maximum: 10 Must be above Level 60 |
Normal | Minimum: 12 Maximum: 14 Must be above Level 60 |
Hard | Minimum: 16 Maximum: 20 Must be above Level 70 |
Visionary | Minimum: 22 Maximum: 26 Must be above Level 70 Buff based on the number of extra members |
Keep in mind that even though you’re using the identical characters suggested, forming a functional team might prove difficult due to the randomized selection process. However, feel free to utilize up to one character from your friend’s supporting cast if needed.

Imaginarium Theater Season 4 Guide
As I embark on this thrilling adventure, I find myself greeted by a display at the top showcasing my initial Reaction Level. With the exciting Brilliant Blessings event in hand, I have the opportunity to amplify the reactions I receive, but remember, since they’re randomly assigned, not every reaction can be upgraded at will.
This is an example of a Brilliant Blessing event. You can use 60 Fantasia Flowers to upgrade a reaction. Don’t underestimate it because these reactions will save your day, especially against bosses!
Act 1 – 3 | Hydro Tulpa
In Acts 1 and 2, you’ll receive 6 Initial Characters. It is crucial to note that the initial boss you will fight is the Hydro Tulpa, which maintains a constant Hydro state. As a result, you won’t be able to utilize the reaction buffs available in Act 3.
After enhancing your abilities and selecting characters, please select a Battle. To obtain the Star, it is necessary to vanquish the opponent within the set time frame. However, do take note that the Star serves merely as a symbol of prowess and has no impact on the rewards.
For the actual conflicts, it’s advisable to reserve your most upgraded characters for the first and second boss fights, using other characters initially. Previously, I mentioned that Hydro Tulpa is the boss in Act 3 and will remain in a constant Hydro state. It would be beneficial to have a Pyro character at hand during this stage, as it allows you to exploit the Hydro condition and consistently trigger a Vaporize reaction.
1 | Select a reaction you want to be using the most when facing the boss in Act 6 (Crystallize / Overload) – Crystallize (Geo x Electro) is the most recommended against Legatus Golem since you can frequently trigger Crystallize with its Geo shield Upgrade said reactions when you have the events. |
2 | Spend the remaining Fantasia Flowers on Companion event so you’ll more characters in the roster. |
3 | Save the Main DPS (preferably Pyro character) and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 3 |
For Act 3, you’ll encounter Hydro Tulpa. It would be wise to have your primary Damage Per Second (DPS) and Support characters ready. In my case, Arlecchino serves as the main DPS, with Raiden providing some assistance for minor reactions. Since these last two characters won’t be needed in future Acts, I plan on using them for this battle.
In the clash against Hydro Tulpa, your primary objective isn’t just attacking the boss while dodging its assaults; instead, you must be vigilant for when it summons Small Half-Tulpas. These Half-Tulpas appear frequently during the fight. When absorbed by the Hydro Tulpa, it enters a strengthened state. In this condition, its Area of Effect (AoE) and damage output are amplified, and it gains a 45% resistance to all incoming damage. Therefore, it’s crucial to prioritize defeating the Half-Tulpa first to prevent the boss from entering this enhanced state. The most effective strategy for eliminating the Half-Tulpa is by exploiting an elemental reaction, causing its Hydro shield to deplete rapidly. Once the shield dissipates, it will automatically be defeated.
Act 4 – 6 | Legatus Golem
In the latter acts, specifically Act 4 and Act 5, it’s crucial to strategize about the ideal character and team for the boss battle in Act 6, as you’ll be encountering Legatus Golem. Given its Geo shield, it would be advantageous to have a Character specializing in Geo DPS (Damage Per Second). You might want to participate in the Companion event until you acquire a Main DPS that fits your needs for this battle (I personally recommend Navia due to her effectiveness against both Act 6 and Act 8 bosses).
In Act 4, there’s a Monolith Defense battle similar to the one in Spiral Abyss. Since the Special Guest features both Venti and Sucrose, if you have either or one of them, consider bringing them along for this Act as they greatly simplify things.
1 | Choose Companion event until you have that one Main DPS for boss battle Legatus Golem. |
2 | If you already have the DPS you want, spend Fantasia Flowers for either more characters or upgrade other reactions you want. |
3 | Save the Main DPS and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 6 |
In Act 6, you’ll encounter the boss fight against Legatus Golem. It’s recommended to have upgraded your desired reactions for this battle since Act 1. As previously stated, Legatus Golem will have a protective Geo shield, making a Geo character particularly effective in this stage. Additionally, remember that Overload reaction can aid in breaking down the Geo shield, so if you don’t possess a Geo DPS, consider forming an Overload team instead.
Initially, a Geo Shield is activated, boosting the resistance to all elements and physical attacks by 70%. However, you should aim to break this shield quickly since it’s most vulnerable to Blunt Attacks (such as Claymore and Plunging strikes, along with most Geo damage). As previously stated, Overload reactions can also deplete the shield’s health. Once the shield is destroyed, the Legatus Golem will be immobilized for approximately 12 seconds before regenerating its shield. During this time, its resistance to all types of damage decreases by 80%.
A swift way to weaken that shield quickly is by focusing on destroying the resonator the Golem summons and charges with, as this will also diminish a portion of its protective barrier. If you fail to destroy the resonator before the Golem finishes charging, it will explode, causing damage. However, beware that the Golem’s other attacks are rather mundane; therefore, you should find it relatively manageable except for its absurdly increased RES when its shield is activated.
Act 7 – 8 | Veteran Arithmetic Enhancer Mek
In Act 7, it’s time to rally my gaming squad for Act 8. It shares some resemblance with Act 6, as both bosses are vulnerable to Geo. If I don’t already have a Geo character in my roster, I should aim to secure a Companion event before Act 8 kicks off. My goal is to get the most potent Damage Per Second (DPS) possible for Act 8. Apart from the Companion event, there’s also the Mystery Caches event where I can potentially reacquire some of my previous characters who currently have zero Vigor.
In Act 8, since the Arithmetic Enhancer Mek sports a Geo shield as well, concentrate on exploring other Crystallize reactions (Geo combined with Pyro) to activate more stage buffs and thus weaken its shield and HP. In Act 7, it’s just a regular combat battle without any special mechanics, so pick the battle that seems most advantageous for your current team setup.
1 | Select Companion event to get the best DPS you can get for Act 8 (preferably Geo). |
2 | Upgrade other reactions so you can gain more stage buffs that will help defeating the boss. |
3 | Save the Main DPS and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 8. |
Initially, the Meka comes equipped with a Geo Shield that doubles its Resource Efficiency (RES) while activated and safeguards it from being immobilized due to Pneuma assaults. However, this shield is least effective against Blunt Attacks (such as Claymore attacks, Plunging attacks, and most Geo damage). Once destroyed, the shield will automatically regenerate over time.
While Arkhe is active, this foe will possess a Gravity Reduction Aura, significantly increasing the vertical jump reach of nearby characters.
When your Geo shield’s remaining percentage is minimal or totally depleted, go ahead and unleash all your Elemental Bursts. This will ensure the boss takes damage instantly once the shield disappears. For other attacks, you should be able to dodge them with ease. Prioritize removing that Geo shield first, and as soon as it’s gone, deal as much damage as you can in quick succession to avoid another shield being formed.
Act 9 – 10 | Algorithm of Semi-Intrasient Matrix of Overseer Network
In Act 9, prioritize assembling an optimal team for Act 10. This is crucial because the final boss, ASIMON, has the ability to become invisible. The ideal character to confront this boss is Electro (having Dendro is a bonus but only Kinich is available in this season). If you don’t possess an Electro DPS, consider utilizing the Companion Event to acquire one (if you have any leftover Electro characters from the Alternate Cast). In essence, aim for a team composition of Electro + Support + Hydro + Any.
After assembling your team for Act 10, consider crafting another squad using the leftover characters in Act 9. If the synergy among these characters isn’t optimal, take advantage of the Companion event to possibly acquire a more compatible character. If you’ve already amassed enough characters, then use your remaining Fantasia Flowers for boosts instead.
In Act 9, it’s crucial to focus on defeating the designated Bounty adversary, rather than aiming at every enemy. Engaging the mobs instead of the Bounty opponent won’t earn you any rewards, just wasted effort. Before the battle, familiarize yourself with the Opposing Lineup to identify the Bounty opponent. During combat, the Bounty opponent will be identified by a small Area of Effect (AoE) circle on the ground.
1 | Create the team for Act 10 beforehand. Then, use the leftover characters for Act 9. |
2 | If you don’t have the right DPS for Act 9, use the Companion event to try and get a better character. |
3 | Once you have the right Main DPS (and team) for both Act 9 and 10, use the remaining Fantasia Flowers on Blessing event to upgrade reactions that you want to focus on in Act 10 (if the said reaction is not at Level 4 yet). |
In the final skirmish of Act 10, you’ll encounter ASIMON who is known for his cowardice and ability to become invisible. When he’s invisible, it’s nearly impossible to locate him as not even his outline can be seen. To immobilize him and break his invisibility, the strategies are similar to when you fight him in The Abyss:
In this season of Imaginarium Theater, there’s just one character from Dendro, and that’s Kinich. If you don’t have Kinich in your team, then your only option for destroying the component and dealing with the core is to rely on an Electro damage per second (DPS) unit. Keep in mind that if I try to use Kinich in the last Act (as shown in the video), he can’t hook onto the invisible ASIMON unless it’s already attached to the boss prior to becoming invisible. Instead, he will aim his hook at the components scattered on the field.
For optimal results with Kinich, consider the following strategy:
If you fail to bring Kinich, your last resort becomes Electro character. To defeat the boss, focus on destroying one part at a time, and once destroyed, the boss will return all parts, leaving some available for Electro to nullify its invisibility.
