This week, we’ll create a historic moment when Imagine Dragons‘ song is transmitted for the very first time from the Moon.
2023’s track “Children of the Sky” from the Starfield video game soundtrack, produced by these young talents, is set to air as a trial broadcast by the innovative space technology firm, Lonestar.
On February 26th, LoneStar plans to send a rocket from Kennedy Space Center with the aim of establishing a lunar data center. If their mission proves successful, they intend to communicate their achievement back to Earth by broadcasting “Children of the Sky”.
Ryan Micheletti, an investor from Lonestar, expressed his thoughts on the project, stating, “We aim to ignite the passion in children for the forthcoming era of space and technology.

The song “Children of the Sky” was developed in tandem with game composer Inon Zur particularly for the game Starfield, and its lyrics trace a journey seeking purpose within the universe.
When Starfield was launched, the lead vocalist, Dan Reynolds, expressed: “Bethesda has crafted timeless games that have occupied a significant portion of our gaming years, and it’s an honor for us to contribute to the song associated with Starfield.
The tune, similar to a puzzle, poses some of the toughest queries we grapple with as individuals seeking meaning in the cosmos.
Composer Zur stated: “The group produced a stunning, heartfelt, and impactful melody, and I collaborated with them to incorporate the Starfield leitmotif within the song, along with significant aspects from the Main Theme and the symphonic presentation of Starfield.
The musical group has remained silent about the groundbreaking venture so far, however, this event aligns with the commemoration of their decade-old album titled “Smoke and Mirrors.
In the spirit of the festivities, the band has planned a global concert series, featuring two shows slated for July 2025 at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
